Hi everyone, I've been looking around to see if anyone has started a thread for UM's Spring 2018 FNP program so I decided to start one myself so that we can all be here for each other. Applications opened up Apr 1st and I have started on my personal statement but my GPA is a little low and I'm afraid i won't get accepted; I have met the 3.0 requirement but I am still a little unsure. Also, I graduated from my BSN program end of last year, recently passed my NCLEX and got a job in the ER. Although, experience is not a requirement does that lower my chances?Anyone knows how the application process works for UM or have any advice, tips that would be useful? Can't wait to hear from you all. :-)
Hi everyone,
For those who are still waiting for an acceptance letter, I hope you get the email this week coming. I will say to not feel discouraged because I know few people who got their acceptance letter few days prior orientation. Keep checking with Daphne for updates. Good luck! Also, the deposit and clinical clearance package is about 1,800.00 $. Keep in mind to have the money available as they want it within a 2 week time frame.

Hi everyone, I submitted my application today, I know that the deadline is Aug 1st but I just got in the last recommendation letter I was waiting for. Do you guys think that will affect my chances? Also, August will make it 4 months of RN experience for me.
