University of Miami accelerated nursing program Spring 2017

Hello,

I'm applying to the accelerated nursing program for Spring of 2017. I was wondering if any of you are applying also and where you are in the application process? I feel like I may have a started the application a little late and I'm wondering if that'll lower my chances of getting in.

Ok awesome thanks for the info! My prereq GPA isn't very high so I am nervous they tossed my app to the side, haha, time will tell! i have 2 more prereqs to take so ill be doing those over the fall

I don't have any prereqs to take, and not currently working sooooo yea I'm just basically waiting to start! This is gonna be a long 5 months! Lol

ugghhh nursingcas 'undelivered' my application because I didn't provide one transcript from this college that I took 4 courses at. It was a college NOW program where they allowed high school seniors to take college classes. I didn't think I would need to. But I just put in the courses under the transcript entry and requested my transcripts via next day air since nursingcas will only accept transcripts till 8/19/16 and not after that. Just praying that it makes it there by tomorrow or before the 8/19. Hate this central pp service thing!! But Im not gonna keep my hopes up for the Spring start cuz this would be just stretching it! But it would have been nice. Waiting for Sept 1st so I can reapply lmao It would be a miracle to get in for Spring cohort at this point but oh well. I will try for Summer!! :)

did you already submit and paid for your application via nursingcas?

you should totally try for spring!! no need to wait if you're ready! if it doesn't get to nursingcas on time, either electronically email or snail mail it to UM. call this number and it'll lead you directly to an admission advisor (i can't type out her name here because it's against the site's policy, but hopefully this will be ok): 305-284-2529. not sure if you already talked to someone, but if you didn't, definitely try explaining to her about your situation. she's super nice and she'll direct you to what you have to do. hope that helps.

my application still says "incomplete" on canelink. did it ever change to "complete" before getting an acceptance? or was it always incomplete? i keep checking to see if there's any changes but will i get an email if canelink ever updates with something?

Mine changed to complete before I got my acceptance, like 2 or 3 days before.

Hey guys, I'm trying to start a group on fb for our cohort but it won't let me do it without adding one person's email. I'm not sure how it works but I'm guessing once it's created everyone can just go look up the group and join.
