University of Miami accelerated nursing program Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello,

I'm applying to the accelerated nursing program for Spring of 2017. I was wondering if any of you are applying also and where you are in the application process? I feel like I may have a started the application a little late and I'm wondering if that'll lower my chances of getting in.

i'm trying not too think too far ahead until i'm officially accepted but are you guys going to live on or off campus? if i bring a car down with me, i can def save money by living outside of the gables area and commute to campus. but living on campus can save me the money from buying/fixing a car and paying the car payments plus gas. how close are shopping areas to campus? is everything walking distance? and are there shuttles provided for places a bit further?

did you get anything on canelink or email about your acceptance? I didn't get anything yet. I think If I get accepted, I will def go! you will need a car to get around to your clinicals tho. Living on campus would be a good idea (if you get the room that is because they give priority to freshmen and sophomores) since it will save you time plus you won't be late for classes, etc. Trying not to think far ahead myself. I got too excited when they told me that my application is under review. Nothing has change don canelink so far. My application is still incomplete it says. Just gotta wait it out till the end of the week I guess lol Last time I read up on the website they have shuttles on/off campus or if u want to take public transportation, they have discounted metro cards for UM students and faculty which is great!

oh right, clinicals good point! hopefully those without cars can carpool with others. no acceptances or news or anything. i'm actually resisting the urge to call and instead, waiting until friday. if i don't hear anything by then, i'll call friday afternoon and ask for an update. my canelink account also says incomplete. just a day or so left before we hear something!! not trying to get my hopes up, but... it's hard lol

oh snap, check your canelink! my application was just updated to "complete"!

Wow thats great! Im so happy for you! Thats probably good news or it means they are done reviewing your application!! :) mine is still incomplete. SO when I spoke to them on Monday, they confused my name with someone else's (very similar name) lol and it was that person's application that was under review, not mine..got too hyped for nothing haha good thing I called today and they said they are working on mine to get it into review :) So thats still a good thing! Keeping my hopes up still. I will probably apply for summer if I don't make it!!

@iserlohn mine says complete too OMGGGGGGG good luck

omg congrats!! Thats good news!

Alright guys I called "complete" only means that they have all the documents and they can start reviewing those applications now. :/

haha well hopefully it'll take like a day to review the applications then. until friday!!

Anyone hear anything yet? Its almost friday. My canelink still says incomplete and NursingCAS has closed the old applications and new cycle has already begun.

rshergill877 nope still waiting I dont think the are gonna tell us tomorrow. I figure a lot of people applied to the program. I'm freaking out a little ....lol
