Hello,
I'm applying to the accelerated nursing program for Spring of 2017. I was wondering if any of you are applying also and where you are in the application process? I feel like I may have a started the application a little late and I'm wondering if that'll lower my chances of getting in.
Hey @acordova131, the UM website says the statement needs to be 250-650 words. Mine was about 550, which ended up being 4 paragraphs, 1 page, single space. I basically just followed this format from UM's website:
Included some of my personal experiences and was pretty specific about my goals.
hey rshergill877, heard anything yet?
No not yet. I got an email though on monday saying that my application is going to the comittee for review and I should expect a response within 2 to 4 weeks. Hopefully with good news :-) how are u doing with the moving plans? Will u consider on campus or off-campus? Must be exciting :-)
sweeeeeeet!!!! i got the complete on a weds., and got my acceptance late friday afternoon. so anytime next week yo!
i've been busy working, trying to save money for those insane living costs down in miami. if i can manage to bring a car down, then i'll be off-campus. otherwise, i'll try to stay on campus but i'm not about that 'sharing a room' dorm-life lol. i'll decide sometime nov what to do. keep us updated!!

Hey guys,
could you that were accepted give any advice about writing the statement of purpose? Also, how long was yours?
