I am interested in applying to the accelerated program for this upcoming year (2014). I am planning to start my application within the next few months and would like to hear from those who have already been accepted or are filling out an application as well. If you don't mind sharing your overall GPA, pre-req GPA and any helpful tips you would like to recommend when filling out the application. Although I am not limiting myself to the U, this is the university I have my heart set on so any information is greatly appreciated. No, they haven't contacted me for an interview for the scholarship. Have they contacted you? I received an email in early Feb confirming that they received my packet. The email said "Should you be selected for a panel interview with nursing leadership, you will be sent an interview invite via email. Scholarship awarded students will be notified of this decision by April 16, 2013." I'm guessing that invitations for interviews will go out soon...but not sure.
Yeah i received that same email. I am just nervous lol I feel like the interview will definitely have to be in March sometime....if we get a decision by April 16.
for the summer 2014 applicants - i applied early january and was told to contact after 30 days and when i did they said they would not be making admissions decisions until sometime in april! AHH i'm dying over here i want to find out if i got in so bad!
I also applied for the Accelerated BSN program for May 2014 start. I applied back in October and had not received an email or confirmation for anything. I just called admissions and they were able to locate my app and said it was sent to the nursing department, thank god. Now it seems we all have to be accepted by "admissions" first and then "nursing admissions". I was told that a final decision letter would be sent out within this month.
hey @ky88! i called again this morning…lol they said we would get notification within 2 weeks - hopefully sooner rather than later i guess! :)
