University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

You have to pay the deposit in two $500 payments. The first $500 is done online through canelink and the second is a check sent to SONHS. Hopefully that helps!

Does the $500 check need to be in before the 2 week deadline? I feel like it’s not very clear

How long did it take your transcripts/application to get verified? I’m so antsy.

Hi, I havent submitted my application yet, but I am in the process of completing everything. Does anyone know if interviews are part of the admission process? Also, does anyone know when decisions will be made? The application deadline is 2/1/20.

I would also like to know the answer asked above about how long it takes for transcripts/applications to get verified. Thanks

There are no interviews! Decisions are rolling, as some have gone out already.

I’ve read that it can take up to 2 weeks for transcripts to be verified, but a lot of people’s transcripts are verified within 5-7 days.

Hey everyone, I’m new to this website but I applied on Jan 7th and my status on canelink was completed by the next day...? Hoping that’s a good sign. Miami is my top choice and I’m hoping to find out soon since I live in California.

Has there been another round of acceptances since the Dec group? Good luck everyone.

I don’t think there’s been another round of acceptances. Still waiting!

I called today and they sent a round out today! Hoping I’ll hear in the next cycle ??

My application was marked complete on 01/09. I think it takes about a week to show the decision in CaneLink, but I'm not sure. Hopefully we will hear soon!

Did they tell you they already sent them out today or that they would be sending them out? I called Friday and they told me that the committee would be getting together later this week to look at applications again and would probably send out another round of acceptances end of this week/next week probably
