University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

I also applied to the University of Miami's Summer 2020 ABSN program! Everything was officially "verified" on NursingCAS just a few days ago so its just a waiting game at this point. Good luck to you!

Thanks you too! I got an email that they received my application and now I’m waiting on them to send me my cane link login information to check my application status. If anyone knows how quickly they tend to get back to people who applied in October for summer cohort please leave info below!

I applied in September and haven't heard anything except periodic 'we are looking into your application' emails.

I'm hoping for mid November, when I'm meant to hear back from a few other schools!

We should be on the same timeline! I’m in a rush I might call in 1-2 weeks to see when the first round of decisions go out. Last year I believe the earliest someone find out was mid December ?

I also completed my application a few days ago on November 3rd! I have two prerequisites pending currently but hoping to hear back before December as well. I’m also in a time crunch!! Everything on my application has already been verified!

I’m also applying for the Summer 2020 cohort. I sent in my application on October 16th, got the email from Anna on the 23rd saying “Look for the Canelink email!” and now we wait. I have one class in progress (microbiology), so I’m assuming I’ll hear back after I send my final transcripts in. I hate the waiting game though, so hopefully time goes by fast.

I believe they can give you a conditional acceptance with classes in progress! I'm in Physiology right now, and got an email asking me for the official transcript a few days ago. I called and was told that they can still make a decision with 2-3 classes in progress, but the official transcript will eventually be required.

I got mine about a month ago but my status has remained incomplete every time I check. They say the status can remain incomplete until you were notified about a decision or it might change to complete when a decision has been made. You can check this by logging in, clicking student center, and clicking the self-service button and then application status

I didn’t get mine and my last email from Anna was on October 23. I might email them and see if I’ll get it soon.
