University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

I called Friday and they told me that the committee would be getting together later this week to look at applications again and would probably send out another round of acceptances end of this week/next week probably

They sent some out yesterday, because it’s rolling there will be several rounds of acceptances going out.

I actually just found out I got accepted!!!! Does anyone know the exact start date of the semester?

I think May 11th is the start of orientation and then the program begins the following week.

I applied early October and in November I received an email that my application was put on hold and I haven’t heard back since. I have called several times and they really do not give me much information. Do you think I should be worried?

From reading previous threads they say something may be missing from your application or they might be interested in you and they might just be waiting to look at other applicants before making a decision. I’m not sure though but don’t give up hope. You should be fine ?

who do you guys think i should email if i accepted the offer and now will be declining due to another acceptance? they don't have a general email for admissions.

I have used this email in my past communications and I would think that they would be able to direct you to the right person if there is a better contact.

Miami contacted me and said they wanted an official document from me proving I received my Bachelor’s. Is an official transcript not enough? What else could I send?

Maybe something got messed up in the nursing cas? I would send an official transcript and or cal for clarification

Yeah, I just resent my transcripts and tomorrow I’ll call to see what else they could want. Just frustrating is all!
