University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

I applied to MCPHS, northeastern, Samuel merritt, university of Miami, Binghamton and Marymount. I was accepted to all but Samuel merritt (waitlisted) and have not heard from Miami or Binghamton since they start later. Although expensive, I’m just gonna go with northeastern. I was hoping Miami would let me know sooner to have one of my top picks in consideration but still no word. I’m relocating from california to Boston so I don’t have time to wait. Good luck Everyone! If I get accepted to Miami I will be sadly declining my spot.

Congrats!! Northeastern is amazing. I’m sure you’ll have a great experience. I’ve only been to Boston once, but I loved it while I was there. Wish nothing but the best for you!

My application status just changed to complete FYI everyone!

Just checked and mine switched to complete too! I am very curious when results will be released to us with the decision.

I'm trying to learn more about the program beyond what's on the website. Does anyone have any insight about the typical ABSN student body (size, in state/out of state, male/female), life in Coral Gables (is a car definitely required?), and where recent grads are getting jobs?

I know that each incoming cohort is approximately 70 students. I also heard that it’s much much easier to have a car, not sure about public transportation. Other than that I know nothing, but I’d like to know as well!

Congrats!!! Did you receive an email from them? Where in CaneLink did you see your acceptance?

I had to check the messages section on CaneLink, and the acceptance letter was posted there. No email, and from what I read financial aid info won't come out for at least a few weeks!

I got in too! Sadly although I even created this thread I will be giving up my seat! Already signed a lease in Boston to attend Northeastern.
