Is anyone out there enrolled in this BSN online program? Please share your experiences...starting to shop around for the shortest/cheapest avenue to a BSN.
I was considering WGU but loss interest due to their 3.0 GPA scale.
Also looking at Grand Canyon.

*Depending on amount of transfer credits, I'm assuming.
Actually it depends on the class. I'm finishing up my 2nd class, Evidence-Based Practice NURS 407, and there is only 1 paper required. It is a 6-8 page paper and it is the final assignment. The instructions were given at the beginning of the course. (It has taken me several weeks to figure them out, though.) There were also quizzes, discussion forums, powerpoint presentations, a crossword puzzle, and other miscellaneous assignments due.
Question about ULL, how manageable would it be to double up on nursing courses and also take a co-req at the same time?
I was accepted to start in October but I decided to postpone until January. I am waiting on hearing back from my alma mater (Weber State University) and if I don't get in there (it's a 2 semester BSN, no prereqs) I'd rather go there than ULL (3 co-reqs in addition to all the nursing classes). But, as a last resort, I would do ULL. They just project me to be done 2-4 months longer than I ideally would like to be, and I've never taken 7 week long courses, so I don't know if they're super accelerated and if taking 2-3 at a time would be too hard.
I am interested in applying for this program. I'm looking to complete my BSN asap. It was between UL-Lafayette and UT-Arlington. Since I am out of state for both and UT required a lot of outside projects (in the work setting or community) I'm leaning more towards UL but can't find a lot of info on them. What are the courses like? Do they require a lot of "community projects"? Any info would be great!
Have u checked out Grand Canyon University? 100% online and each course is only 5 weeks long! Lot of paper writing and group projects--but no clinicals! I'm on my 2nd class, and so far, so good
I'm starting ULL RN to BSN in January 2014. I wanted to see what some of you think about your experiences at ULL.
I am just trying to do some research on which BSN school to attend. my friend and i want to take it together but she wants to go to ohio university online and i dont want to because NOBODY from the school communicates with you. so i have been looking into western governors, grand canyon, and university of phoenix. mainly because its all online. i have never heard of U of L Lafayette...... it will be interesting to read more post. another thing is..... i live in the midwest more east coast though........and alot of people around where i am haven't even heard of WGU or GCU....... are they pretty popular near the mountain states and west coast?
Flames9....... how far along are you in your nursing program?
I enrolled in ULL and then switched to WGU. I love WGU. So I glad I did it. Go at your own pace, I'm accelerating through classes that require a final exam-I just go to the final exam and take it if I know the material already. The online environment is five star-so easy to navigate, and the staff accessible and friendly and encouraging. Love WGU. I plan to go on for MSN too but not WGU as I want clinical.

It is more than that to be honest (2 papers and a final project paper). The topics are interesting and the format that they ask for is reasonable. They go out their way to answer all questions about assignment quickly. The think that kept me from WGU (no gpa totals).
