University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2018

Hi, everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2018 application cycle since I didn't see one that was created yet. For those wondering, the deadline is August 15, 2017. Based on last admit's (Spring 2017) thread, applicants started hearing back with denials and acceptances around the second week of September. I look forward to sharing our experiences through this application process!

Does anyone have any insight on the program from any current or previous students? I know it's quite rigorous since it is condensed into 1 year (vs. 15 months at other accelerated second-degree BSN programs).

I have a B.S. in Psychology from UH Main. I'm currently taking my last class for the application (A&P 2 Lab), and I'm planning to take the TEAS in July. Good luck to all!!

I haven't received anything yet either. My guess is that they are waiting to see who accepts and then maybe they will adjust from there? If I have not received any communications by tomorrow afternoon then I will go ahead and call/e-mail. They said we should receive communications lettings us know for BOTH acceptance and denial.

Hi, everyone! I received my acceptance email at 2:00 pm. My last name starts with an "S" and I was in group "A" at interview day. To those already accepted, congrats!! My last name starts with a W and i was in section E of the interview day. I received my acceptance right around 2 as well :) excited to begin this journey. Everyone who hasn't heard back just hold on a little longer and I hope you all hear great news :)

Howdy y'all, I received my acceptance Thursday morning around noon. I was in group C on interview day. If y'all haven't requested to join the Facebook group - please do this- it's super helpful. I'm also looking for a place to live since I'm from the Dallas area. Would be nice to have nursing student roommates. Good job guys.
