Hi, everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2018 application cycle since I didn't see one that was created yet. For those wondering, the deadline is August 15, 2017. Based on last admit's (Spring 2017) thread, applicants started hearing back with denials and acceptances around the second week of September. I look forward to sharing our experiences through this application process!
Does anyone have any insight on the program from any current or previous students? I know it's quite rigorous since it is condensed into 1 year (vs. 15 months at other accelerated second-degree BSN programs).
I have a B.S. in Psychology from UH Main. I'm currently taking my last class for the application (A&P 2 Lab), and I'm planning to take the TEAS in July. Good luck to all!!
Spring 2018 University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN is the name of group..you have to request access to person who set it up ..she asks for evidence of acceptance to make sure it is only UH nursing students.
Hi! Could a former student tell me what book is used for NURS 3247 or Pharmacology of Nursing Practice? I've tried finding it online, but haven't been able to.
So registration opens on Monday Nov 6th....Im lost...Does anyone know what classes we are supposed to be registering for? If so where is the list and was it emailed to us? Secondly, are we able to register for classes eventhough they haven't merged our info from the NursingCas to myUH?
This is the first thread I found while doing research about potential Accelerated Nursing programs in the Houston area.
I have a couple questions and hope someone can provide some insight.
So I am currently in Ma completing the last semester of my undergrad in Ex. Science. I completed most of the pre-reqs years ago when I was still living in Houston (a&p, Micro, Psyc2314, etc) unfortunately I received a letter grad of a C in 2 of the classes; would I be ok to apply? Also, is UH the only school in Houston with an accelerated (second Bachelors) BSN program?
Like you I had a couple questions I was hoping to find the answers for.
I think you should still try and apply this year if you are still considering it. UH is the only school in houston that has an accelerated.. I think TWU may have a 2 year program. Honestly I am apply to only UH and if I don't get in I'll consider maybe UTMB or TWU.
