Hi, everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2018 application cycle since I didn't see one that was created yet. For those wondering, the deadline is August 15, 2017. Based on last admit's (Spring 2017) thread, applicants started hearing back with denials and acceptances around the second week of September. I look forward to sharing our experiences through this application process!
Does anyone have any insight on the program from any current or previous students? I know it's quite rigorous since it is condensed into 1 year (vs. 15 months at other accelerated second-degree BSN programs).
I have a B.S. in Psychology from UH Main. I'm currently taking my last class for the application (A&P 2 Lab), and I'm planning to take the TEAS in July. Good luck to all!!
Hello,I hope everyone who lives in Houston area is ok after hurricane harvey. I'm wondering if anybody has received communication from the school about delays in selecting students for the program.
Hope you're doing well post-hurricane, also. My family and I are thankful to be safe. This is from an email I received from UH on 8/30:
"The College of Nursing Dean and Faculty will meet on September 5 to make determinations on many issues. It will take some time to get all the details in place. So again, please be patient….but also confident that we will get through this and will move forward with the selection process for the Spring 2018 cohort of the UH College of Nursing Second Degree BSN program."
So, yeah, it looks like there may be a delay, and we will probably be hearing from them soon since they had a meeting yesterday.
Hey guys, i have received an invitation as well. Just wondering though, do we set up an email with the school while we're at interview day or should we have already done that?
I did not read anything about setting up an e-mail? It is my understanding you should be communicating via the e-mail you registered with NursingCAS.
