Hi, everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2018 application cycle since I didn't see one that was created yet. For those wondering, the deadline is August 15, 2017. Based on last admit's (Spring 2017) thread, applicants started hearing back with denials and acceptances around the second week of September. I look forward to sharing our experiences through this application process!
Does anyone have any insight on the program from any current or previous students? I know it's quite rigorous since it is condensed into 1 year (vs. 15 months at other accelerated second-degree BSN programs).
I have a B.S. in Psychology from UH Main. I'm currently taking my last class for the application (A&P 2 Lab), and I'm planning to take the TEAS in July. Good luck to all!!
Where does it say we need a 75% in every section?
This is an excerpt from an email I received from them after I submitted by NursingCAS application:
"Exam – Request TEAS VI scores be sent directly to UH College of Nursing, or you may upload your scores in the Document Upload†section in NursingCAS. You may register to take the examination by contacting ATI. We are looking at multiple areas ~ Science, Reading Comprehension, and your overall composite. The minimum score required is 75% in each section. You are only allowed to take the exam twice. Good Luck!"
Hello, what class can be used for the Writing in the Disciplines requirement?
UH Core Curriculum 216-217 - University of Houston - Acalog ACMSâ„¢
@nrvhy what email are you writing the UH nursing? I have a question for them!It looks like I won't be joining y'all in the Spring 2018! I just took my TEAS again and even though I got better grade than before (83 overall) I got a 74.5 again in the science. Good luck to y'all!!
i had a lower score than you in Science. Im still trying my luck and i already applied. if i remember the lady said score 75 to be competitive. i believe my other scores would hopefully balance

[email protected]. Congrats on doing better, overall, @kristennicole017! Definitely consider applying to TWU if you don't already plan to. Their minimum is 64% for the TEAS. Good luck!!
