University of Hawaii Manoa 2014 MEPN Program

Published

Last year's thread for this program was in full swing by this point with good rumors and nervous applicants. So, how many people out there have applied for the 2014 MEPN program at UHM? I am hoping there are 40 seats and only 40 applicants.

turq: I think admissions letters get sent in waves... I'm not sure when the first wave was sent out, but I got mine on Monday, 1/27. They gave me until 2/10 to reply "Yes, I'll be attending" or "No, I won't be attending".

After that, I think another wave of admittance letters get sent out after they determine how many seats are still open. I think denial letters get sent out last after they fill all the seats.

Once you accept your loans on myuhportal it will automatically distribute the funds across fall, spring, summer.

@mrobinson69600, thanks for all of the information that you have provided! How has your experience been this year thus far? Also, do you have an understanding about in-state versus out-of-state tuition, and what declares an individual as in-state?

@mrobinson69600 Thank you so much for replying and for all of your help...

We just have so much to do. They said this semester was more chill. Lies. LOL!

Ill get back about the tuition later. But you should look into scholarships on the UH site once you get access.

Got my acceptance e-mail late Friday (Feb 07th). I guess it's the second wave. Congrats to those who got the same. My sincere good wishes who're still waiting. Hope it comes next week or the week after. Now I've to take the tiger by the tail...moving lock stock and barrel from Canada...I've to pay as an international student. That's quite a big bite but I've already bitten off so must plan how to chew this. Again, sincere wishes to those waiting for the other shoe to drop...cheers

Congrats bobsrini!

Aloha everyone I just got accepted as well. I have been a nervous wreck just waiting so good thoughts go out to those still waiting!

Congrats to those who already got accepted. What tracks did you guys choose bobsrini and clr2014? My application was turned in very late... so I am still hopeful that I will be the last wave of acceptance? Does anyone know how many waves there are?

Also, did you have to get accepted by the nursing-MS? That part was a bit confusing to me, because technically I wasn't applying to the Nursing-MS but the MEPN.
