just an update since receiving an acknowledgment e-mail since nov25th. received yesterday Dec 13th... the waiting game begins...

Dear MEPN Applicant:

Thank you again for your interest in our Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. We have received your application and it is being reviewed by the admissions committee.

With close to 200 applications for the fall 2014 cohort, it may take some time to process the applications. Nonetheless, we anticipate selections will soon be determined and notifications will follow.

In previous years, notifications were made as late as March. With the new admissions process of rolling admissions, we anticipate notification much earlier this year.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

going by last year's trend, I guess e-mails could be expected after the holiday season may be the first or second week in the new year. what specialty did you guys apply for? I've applied for the dual fnp/adv ph track.

bobsrini- I just saw this posted on the UH site "NOTE: MS Dual Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)/and Advanced Public health Nursing (APHN) is on hiatus effective Fall 2014. Individuals who have already submitted applications to this dual specialty and have questions or who which to obtain more information about their options can contact either . . ." Yes, the dual Family Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Public Health Nursing track is currently on hiatus.

We will be sending out an update with options in January when more details and information will become available.We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

so I'm waiting for the update to see what the options might be. The plot thickens :-) what track have you guys applied for?

I would have thought an update to the situation and a course of action would have been released within a day or so of the change, many peoples' plans for the future hang on the resolution of this hiatus and the rolling admissions process results.
