Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

Same for me! my GPA is a 3.8 for nursing, but I have only experience as a nurse extern. I am a psych minor and have some master courses taken though! I applied for PMHNP!

The end of April cannot come soon enough.
You sure weren’t the only one! I got SO discouraged reading that. Like others, UF has been my dream school, ever since I graduated high school. All my friends attended UF while I went to Santa Fe. Can’t wait for end of April ?

It was the no GRE this year that triggered everyone. Is what it is at this point.
Hi all,
Just thought I would drop a post here since I've been lurking. I graduated from UF's ABSN program in 2020. I applied for FNP full-time this fall. Looking forward to the decisions being released (looks like it was 4/22/20 last year when they released them). Just FYI to everyone: no matter how good or bad of an applicant that you think you are in terms of GPA--it doesn't matter. Their process is truly holistic and your 3.0/3.1/3.2 isn't gonna prevent you from getting in nor will your 4.0 guarantee your spot. Good luck friends!

Listen I don't know how to thank you for posting this. My GPA isn't great and I was so worried they'd automatically boot me for it! Thank you!

I’m glad cause I bring a ton of political experience, which is very uncommon. Hopefully they’ll see the uniqueness to that.
