University of Cincinnati Fall 2018

Hi everybody! I just submitted my application for UC's WHNP Fall 2018 Program. Just curious who else has applied or is planning to apply to any of their Fall 2018 NP/CNM programs. Maybe we can keep each other updated as they start to give out acceptance offers and maybe meet some future classmates. Good luck everyone!

I plan on applying for the CNM program. My GPA is not that great, but I am hoping my experience , recommendations, and essay will help me. I have been a L&D nurse for 6 years. I do not not know anyone personally that has attended the school. Do you?

Good luck! I don't personally know anyone who has attend UC but I know some friends of friends who have gone there or are currently enrolled that apparently like the program. Have you started the application yet? I don't know about you but I thought it was a bit complicated with having to apply through the NursingCAS system and it kind of takes a long time for everything to get approved before they send your application to the school. Keep me updated on how things go!

Good luck to you too! Yes I started my application. The only thing I still need to do is finish the essay and then pay and submit. It's expensive applying to all these schools at once, especially since I decided to pay the $90 for the transcript entry. I did not feel like sitting there entering those courses myself....I hope I get in somewhere. Also applying to Frontier, possibly Emory and Georgetown as well.

It is expensive! And I didn't realize at first that the $70 payment is just for using the NursingCAS system and that you still have to pay an extra $65 for the UC application so that was a surprise for me. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra money to have my transcript entered but it was very annoying and tedious. Just glad it's over with! I also applied to Frontier! I think those will be the only two schools I apply to this semester. If I don't get in I have a couple of backup schools I'll try for Spring semester but I already missed their Fall deadlines. I've heard good things about Frontier and Georgetown too! I don't know anyone who has gone to Emory.

I don't know anyone who has gone to any of these schools either. And yes, that was a total surprise to me too- the $65 plus the $70.

Hi all! I just applied for the AGNP Fall 2018 program. I have also applied to a couple of other programs but UC is my top choice. I have a friend whose husband finished their FNP program a few years ago and had nothing but good things to say about it.

I applied to the Pediatric NP track! I'm doing the BSN to DNP though so not sure if it's the same. My interview is May 8!

I have a close friend who graduated from UofC and absolutely loved her experience. Congrats! I'm thinking of applying either at UofC, Frontier, or a local NC school. Good luck!
