University of California, Irvine (UCI) Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) Fall 2023

Hi all,

I had seen a discussion thread last year for students who applied to UCI's MEPN program and I found the comments really helpful. Maybe by connecting we can see when invitations to interview are sent out. ? I did see that UCI was expanding its MEPN program this year which is exciting!

A little about me-I am pursuing nursing at the mid stages of my life. I have a degree in Health Education and Health Promotion and community health nursing is my aspiration! Hope we can connect!

I am also throwing my hat into other degree programs- CSUF, Golden West, Saddleback, Vanguard. Basically anywhere that fits my goals and budget ?

No, I don't :(. Way more people get waitlisted than there are spaces though. Hoping to get an acceptance at another school.

I think they'll be sending emails throughout the day. I got my email at 9:15

Anyone hear whether they got accepted/waitlisted/rejected today? I haven't heard anything at all and losing hope

Hi All,

I also received an email from UCI regarding the waitlist (just found out right now although they sent it to me at 9:15am this morning). I didn't perform well during the interview; I am a bit shocked to be waitlisted. Hoping UCLA will come to the rescue. Wishing everyone the best.

I also did really bad on my interview. My brain was so fried I couldn't think right. I had been working on apps since October.

Hey all! I did really horribly on my interview as my brain spurted while looking at the timer- I literally said "so yeah" to conclude multiple points because I ran out of time. 
 

BUT I got an acceptance call & email from UCI yesterday! Was seriously confident that the interview ruined it for me when I knew I worked really hard, pouring my heart and soul into my application & written statements.  I was so confident I ruined my chances, that I didn't fill out the fellowship application due that night. 
 

Not sure if UCI has finished sending out decisions, but if they haven't and you feel like you had a strong application but messed up the interview, don't lose hope. Sending good luck to everyone & all your school decisions! ?

Hey all! Has anyone heard back about their place on the waitlist? Or has anyone asked admissions about it?

If I was interviewed but haven't heard anything back yet, is that a bad sign? Are some of you in the same situation? Thank you in advance.

I don't think we'll hear anything anytime soon, but it all depends on whether people that got in accept or reject their space at UCI and how soon they notify UCI of their choice. Also our place on the waitlist.
