University of California, Irvine (UCI) Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) Fall 2023

Hi all,

I had seen a discussion thread last year for students who applied to UCI's MEPN program and I found the comments really helpful. Maybe by connecting we can see when invitations to interview are sent out. ? I did see that UCI was expanding its MEPN program this year which is exciting!

A little about me-I am pursuing nursing at the mid stages of my life. I have a degree in Health Education and Health Promotion and community health nursing is my aspiration! Hope we can connect!

I am also throwing my hat into other degree programs- CSUF, Golden West, Saddleback, Vanguard. Basically anywhere that fits my goals and budget ?

Congratulations! How exciting! Your day is going better than mine. I just tested positive for COVID ? Did you apply to other programs as well? Curious what pathways other people are taking.

Hi y'all! I was wondering how y'all accepted the interview invitation. They sent me a second email to accept the invitation without starting the interview but the link directs me to sign in with my email, but I'm nervous if this will begin my interview which I'm not ready for right now LOL. What have y'all done to accept the invitation?

If anyone has done the interview, can you please give some tips on how to prepare? Should I prepare for scenario questions?

I read the same question from other applicants in previous years. Someone didn't want to click on their link because they were afraid and someone else said they clicked on is a bunch of times and it didn't start the interview.

I heard they also do a practice run before the actual interview. Check previous discussion posts on this. They're still easy to access.

Hey everyone! I got my interview invite yesterday and plan to do the interview tomorrow! I just read on the UCI MEPN website that they are expanding the MEPN program 2023 and there is actually a second wave of applications due in Feb! Hopefully this expansion allows more of us to get in! Good luck everybody!

Hi! I also received the interview invite on the 20th and just completed the interview. You will be marked as having accepted the interview once you enter your email address. It then begins to show you a brief intro video as well as a tutorial on how to set up your microphone and camera. After that, you have unlimited takes to record a practice video. Only after you proceed to the next page after being satisfied with the practice videos will you be given the option to start the interview -- so don't be worried about inadvertently starting the interview! It's structured so that you start the interview only when you are fully prepared.
