Hey!!

Has anyone attempted this program yet? I’ve been accepted for Fall 2020 and was looking for some feedback ?

Specializes in LVN, mother/baby, pediatrics.

Tagging into the convo. I’ve been accepted to the summer22 program recently I’m in the DFW area.  Looking for some good info on what to expect. I haven’t gotten any other info from the school yet as I was just accepted and my tiles aren't up on ua account.

I'm starting too. I just need a couple of prereqs still. Does anyone know if you have to take a dosage cal test at the beginning of each semester? It's before since I HAD to do any calculations. I am wondering if I should take a Dosage calc class again to brush up on it.

@hadden8176 yes, there is a dosage calculation test before each clinical site/practicum. I will

be starting this semester but join the fb group (university of Arkansas lpn-BSN online group. There’s a lot of information about it.

Hi! Is anyone starting the LPN-BSN program in January (2022) that lives in North Carolina? ?

How is the program going for

you?  I am North Carolina too and

considering the program.

Specializes in CNA.

I am currently a LVN student in CA, will finish early Spring 2023. I have prerequisites done but for CC out here and most programs will expire next year. I don’t want to retake if possible before applying to a LVN to BSN program. I am considering U of Arkansas (Texas would be nice). For those who are started in the DFW area how have clinicals been and what is your school schedule like?

Where you able to transfer any or all of your community college course work? Thanks In advance!! Also what are job opportunities like for LPN in DFW area, average rate of pay and nurse to patient ratio if you work in acute care?

I’m in Dallas. I will start the program this Summer so can’t speak to the clinical experience yet in the program aside from the fact that we have to source our own clinical assignments. You do have to have so many hours of work experience as an LVN to be accepted into the program I want to say its about 1000-2000 hours?

acute work as an LVN is starting to become more available I’ve been a nurse for 5 years working only in hospital clinics not acute/inpatient. I just recently began working inpatient in postpartum and I love it more hospitals are hiring LVNs in telemetry/ED I’ve seen a few l&d/motherbaby/nicu too but they get snatched up fast

has anyone recently entered this program or applied. wanted to see how the nursing classes were?. If I apply I will only need nursing courses since I have all prerequisite classes.

Yes I am currently in the program. Most of the courses are 8 weeks therefore the course load can be heavy but totally doable

I know this is an older thread but has anyone recently been doing this program? I am from Alabama and have applied to the school. They have received my job verification and one of my schools transcripts just waiting on one more. I am trying to start in the Spring of 23
