Union University Spring 2014

Hey All!

I have applied for Union's Spring 2014 ABSN program at Hendersonville. I submitted all of my application material on April 16 and NursingCAS finalized/"verified" & forwarded my application to Union on May 1. I am still anxiously waiting to hear something back! Are there any other applicants out there for Spring 2014? Have you heard anything back yet? Best of luck to any of you!

@ DRPierce. I have both heart saver CPR AED and health care provider BLS. Both classes were the same but the cards are different. The health care provider card has "Health Care provider" across the top and on the bottom it says American Heart Association BLS for health care providers. I would take the BLS class since that is what they are asking for.

Hi, i have been given an alternative admission and I was just wondering if I should start applying for other loans or just wait till I get a real acceptance letter. I have been accepted into university of New England, but the program is really expensive. So am just praying I get accepted into Union.

I just applied for my loan last week. I personally would wait until you are for sure accepted because they will send you a breakdown of each semester/session & how much extra money you will need. I am getting the stafford & Wells Fargo wed cap loan to cover tuition plus fees, uniforms, books etc. Depending on who you plan to get your loan through.. You could probably call & ask how their process works or email someone in the financial aid department at union. Hi Pinkipanthar,

I also have received alternative admission and was wondering the same thing. I talked to wellsfargo about the Medcap loan and I was told that they give you a 30 day period to accept it. Assuming if I apply now I would only have 30 days to accept and I'm not sure if I'm going to get in. Therefore, I chose to wait a little longer. Have you heard anything as far as how many alternates does Union chose or the standing of the alternative list?

I have not heard anything from them yet but I spoke to miss Kathie and have started working on the alternative loans. I also sent one of the admission coordinates an email to ask for my chances of getting into the program and she said she couldn't disclose that information with me. I was really disappointed though. I have been calling admissions to speak to someone but I keep getting voice messages. I will still keep my fingers crossed. Pls let me knw if u hear anything. I wish you all the best!

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else had a hard time setting up a username/password? I got the email last week and went through all the steps it had listed.. When I got to the "change your password" part is where I am stuck. I got to where you type in your student email, your union ID, then it asks you to either enter your birthdate or the last 6 of your social. I have tried it both ways & neither one changes anything.. But everytime I enter the last 6 of my social (let's say I enter 123456) it automatically adds 3 characters to the end of my SSN so there is a total of 10 characters in that box) It also does the same thing to my password (let's say I entered "union" as my password it automatically adds 3 characters to the end) And the SSN & password I am entering are blacked out by those little black circles for confidential things, so idk what my password is when I go to log into the portal because it's automatically entering unwanted characters. I've tried doing this on my phone, a desktop computer & a lap top and it does the same thing on all of them. I have contacted the IT department & am waiting for a response but wanted to see if anyone else is having this problem??

It added the 3 characters to mine as well when I went to set it up & I was worried, but when I went to actually login to my email it took the password exactly how I had entered it.
