Hey All!
I have applied for Union's Spring 2014 ABSN program at Hendersonville. I submitted all of my application material on April 16 and NursingCAS finalized/"verified" & forwarded my application to Union on May 1. I am still anxiously waiting to hear something back! Are there any other applicants out there for Spring 2014? Have you heard anything back yet? Best of luck to any of you!
@DRpierce & @jessy2fast - I paid my deposit like 2 weeks ago & got an automated email saying that they received my deposit & that ill be receiving additional info. I also sent a separate email to admissions asking when I should be receiving my "orientation packet" or the additional information they are talking about, but I didn't get a response to that one. I know we have to make sure all of our immunizations are up to date, CPR up to date, as well as a few other things before class starts. So if yal hear something please let me know as well! I am also hoping to get to register for classes sometime soon so we can have a hint as to how our weekly schedule will be
I will definitely keep you all posted if I hear anything new! I checked out the tentative schedule for the Spring & it has Bio 300 (Patho), Nursing 306 & Nursing 419 all listed as online courses (Nursing 306 also has an in person option it looks like). The only other class I have left to take aside from those is Nursing 302 (I think/hope) which is listed as an on campus course, but no date & time is assigned. I checked this Fall's schedule & it shows that Nurs 302 meets for 2 hours, 1 day a week. I hope I'm understanding it correctly bc I'd love to save myself all that driving for a little while longer, if at all possible.
@DRpierce - you and me both! That's one of the things I'm most stressed out about is all of the driving. Also from what I can find.. I'm thinking our on campus classes are typically Monday-Thursday with Fridays/ Saturdays typically open for possible clinicals? I found the following calendar on another post by someone that started the program this fall if you wanna look at it.. I'm having a hard time following it, so maybe you can see something I can't lol it's just not following the 16 week, 5 week, 8 week, 8 week, 6 week, 6 week, 16 week schedule that is on unins website.

Where have you found the tenitive schedule for spring? All I can find is fall 2013. Thanks!!
Yeah I saw that calendar & didn't get it either, it doesn't line up at all. Here's the Spring 2014 {tentative} schedule. They just updated it today so that it now has all of the first 16 week courses on it. I'm curious about Nursing 306 since the online class is 16 weeks & the in person is 8 weeks...I really hope they let us take it online, even if it is longer.
Hey everyone just wanted to let you guys know that I just received my transfer credit info. It looks like all I'll have to take in the first session is NUR 306, 302, 419 and patho. My stats transferred since it was a math department stat class. I forgot who asked this question but they accept grades of "c" or above for transfer. The letter they sent has a footnote that mentions minimum grades. Wish I could tell you guys more. I'll make sure to get on here and pass on any info I get.
@DRpierce Yes! I am also hoping for as many online classes as possible! Thanks for the link to the schedule! I'm glad we have at least a clue as to how it might be!
@Dee5 @jessy2fast How did yal receive your transfer credit info? By email or mail? I emailed and asked about mine on Wednesday or Thursday & didn't hear anything back.

Have any of you gotten an exact start date by chance? I'll be paying my deposit next week, so I haven't received any additional info. Trying to get daycare taken care of in the mean time! Thanks!
