Hey All!

I have applied for Union's Spring 2014 ABSN program at Hendersonville. I submitted all of my application material on April 16 and NursingCAS finalized/"verified" & forwarded my application to Union on May 1. I am still anxiously waiting to hear something back! Are there any other applicants out there for Spring 2014? Have you heard anything back yet? Best of luck to any of you!

Oh good, thanks so much for the info! And sorry, I should've said "Thanks Ladies &/or Gents" to you all;)

@drpierce my email said my $600 was due by October 4th. So it sounds like to me that they give you about 4 weeks from when you receive your acceptance letter to pay the deposit. & yes I will be getting loans.. For my first bachelors degree I didn't have to get a loan.. So I'm not sure how to go about getting one.. But yes I have also read about the Wells Fargo medcap loan & that is the one that I am looking into I believe. But like I said I am not real sure where to even start with all that, I know th deadline for financial aid for spring is sometime in November.

I just got my acceptance email:)!! I might sound lame saying this, but I seriously think I might cry;)! Haha

@DRPierce. Congrats!!!

jessy2fast- thank you!

Congrats @DRPierce!!!

I'm hoping someone else who has been in the ABSN program at Union will see this post and maybe be able to give us some insight as to how the classes go, if we get any breaks throughout the 15 months, if class goes from 8-5 monday through friday, etc. I am wanting to get ahead & start studying some over these next few months before we start school, but I don't really know what to expect or where to start. I am planning to review my medical terminology notes and A&P notes as a start.

I have paid my $600 deposit already and I emailed to ask when I should be receiving my orientation packet/next step in the process and haven't heard back yet. Once I get an email I will forward on to you guys.

Hi everybody, so I also applied for Union's absn program for 2014 spring at the Hendersonville campus. I received my acceptance letter via email. In the letter they asked that I submit my transcripts with my last 60 hour GPA being 3.0 or more and a $600 deposit to secure my spot. I have done both so I'm just waiting for my orientation packet. I four the letter a little confusing since it said I was conditionally accepted but after emailing MIss Carrie she said once I send in all the requirements mentioned in the letter, I should be all set. I'm really thrilled to begin this program. I'm coming from Connecticut so I'll need to rent an apartment. If anyone needs a roommate pls let me know.

@apartridge232- Thank you!!

I've also been trying to get ahead a little. Luckily my husband is working on his Masters in Biology & just finished up pathophysiology so he's been giving me the rundown on that class. That is one class that scares me! I also found a bunch of stuff on pinterest if you're on there. I found a GREAT site that looks like it will be an awesome study tool...

@Dee5- Congrats!!

By the way, since we're all going to be going to school together, I figured I'd go ahead & introduce myself...my name is Dana.

@DRpierce Perfect! Thanks so much! Yes I am on Pinterest.. I will follow you! I have a hidden board for nursing school that I've been adding study tips to for a while & I will add you to it so we can pin helpful things! My name is Ashley Partridge & I am also married.. My husband is an EMT-FF and we've been married 2 1/2 years now. I received an email from union today saying they received my deposit & to apply for any loans as soon as possible & that we are now just waiting to receive further information. Ugh, I hate that! Lol I'm so OCD like I wanna know dates of when we start classes & when orientation is, etc! Guess we just have to be patient :/

Congrats @dee5! Sounds like you are all set once you get those few things in! That's such a big change coming all the way to TN! I wish you luck!
