Union University Spring 2014

Published

Hey All!

I have applied for Union's Spring 2014 ABSN program at Hendersonville. I submitted all of my application material on April 16 and NursingCAS finalized/"verified" & forwarded my application to Union on May 1. I am still anxiously waiting to hear something back! Are there any other applicants out there for Spring 2014? Have you heard anything back yet? Best of luck to any of you!

Yes! I got that email today too! Glad we are starting to get some information!

@apatridge my transfer credit came in the mail. Sorry im just replying you. Did u get yours yet?

I applied for the Germantown campus!! I am so anxious to know something soon!! I don't like putting all of my eggs in 1 basket but it gets very costly with all of these application fees!!! Congrats to everyone that's been accepted!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

@Kymsdaone- I know that feeling all too well! I wish you the best of luck! I'm crossing my fingers for you that you get in & that you get that acceptance letter sooner than later!

Kymsdaone, i wish u good luck. Im sure Germantown campus receives more applications than the Hendersonville campus that's probably why its taking its taking longer. But i hope u hear something soon. Good luck.

I got my transfer credit page in the mail on Friday as well. My stats & probability didn't transfer so I will have to take that again I guess. I have completed my background check and I'm in the process of uploading all of my immunizations for the clinical requirements. I'm trying to get as much done now before any classes start. Has anyone else already started uploading their stuff to that website in the email yet? I've paid & have uploaded a few things.. But at the top of mine it says that everything is overdue & it says Hendersonville campus FALL 2013? I used the right code from the email & I've emailed Cathy wright twice now to let her know in case the code was wrong but still haven't received an email back. Does anyone else see this on their certifiedbsvkground.com profile?

I received a second letter in the mail with stats and prob transferred. This was about 1 week after I received the first course transfer letter. If you got a C or better, you should receive another transfer letter. I haven't started the background check and all that yet.

@dee5 ok thank you! I will be looking for anther letter in the next few days!

Ashley- I just went & did my background check & the document uploader. I'm getting the same message, that it's for Fall 2013 & all of my stuff is overdue. Let me know if she writes you back, if not I'll try emailing her as well.

@DRpierce ok I will. I've emailed twice & haven't heard anything. I'm thinking maybe the code was for the students entering this fall semester & we were given the wrong one. But I have began uploading documents. I have to go and have a physical & flu shot & few other things before my uploaded documents are completed.

Also, I have been in contact with financial aid. If I understand the information they've given me.. Since I have filled out the FAFSA & sent in my adult studies form to union.. I am now waiting on a letter stating what loans/grants I am eligible for & I then accept the ones I want & apply for them. Have you or anyone else started the financial aid process? I've never had to have loans before so I am completely in the dark & just wanna make sure I'm not behind. Thanks!!

Oh I sent out my FAFSA before I was even accepted, but I didn't know anything about an adult studies form. I just found it on their site though. Thanks for the heads up on that! I called Wells Fargo in case any of you are thinking of applying for their MedCAP loan. They told me to wait until mid-October/early November before I apply. I think I'll lean more towards the mid-October side bc I'm anxious to find out where I stand with everything.

Do any of you have your CPR cert already? If so do you do BLS or CPR cert? I saw there is a BLS & CPR certification available and that BLS is usually used for medical professionals, so I wasn't sure which I should take.

Ok, yes that was the same information I received as well was to wait till mid October to apply. I believe I have been talking to someone names Hannah in financial aid. She was the one that told me to fill out the adult studies form. I also completed my FAFSA a while back but back in July went back & edited it to have it sent to union as well. I believe I sent in my adult studies form almost 3 weeks now & they said I should be receiving my loan/grant eligibility within 2 weeks. So think I am going to wait until end of next week, then email & ask about it.

I am already CPR certified because my cert has to be current for my job, but I believe they are basically the same thing. I believe my card doesn't say BLS, I'm sure you can email & ask which one they recommend you do.
