Starting a new thread for those that will be applying to Union University for the Fall 2020 class in Jackson, TN.

Specializes in ICU.

Any questions regarding receptors and how they act/work at the cellular level (ie: alpha receptors, g protein, and protein kinase C = physiologic response)?

I was told by a previous student that the interview is very laid back and mostly they just want to get to know you, and see if you are a good fit for their program.

I wouldn't expect them to ask any advanced gotcha pathophysiology/ pharmacology questions

No emails today???

I talked to the coordinator before about this and she said they'll be sending out emails week after the interview. Doesn't hurt to check your email every 5 minutes?

In the past those accepted will receive a phone call this coming Monday, most likely afternoon. I doubt any calls or emails go out before then.

Phone calls went out on the Monday after the interview last year and the year before that. Rejection notifications were by email later on that week. I can't remember how waitlisted people were notified, I think it was by email.

Did the students take you to the cadavers lab? You should ask them, take a chance to see. It's fun . Not too bad right? ? Good luck

How are interviews going?? Did anyone interview today or yesterday??

I'm on my way. Worked a 12 last night and currently sitting in DFW waiting to fly to Memphis then the drive to Jackson. I interview at 9:10 tomorrow.

I interviewed yesterday! Everyone was very nice and just wanted to get to know you as a person and an applicant. I felt like I psyched myself out more mentally than necessary!

Good luck!!! I think you have a slight advantage since you have interviewed with them before and they will see you are persistent!! Safe travels!!!
