UNF summer 2011 hopefull

I would like to contact others who have applied to UNF for summer of 2011. Although I have a degree, I am applying for the RPL program and not the accelerated program because I have kids at home. I have 3.68 GPA and 87% TEAS V. I guess they will send out interview invitations mid-February.

I also received my letter. I GOT IN!! Traditional program :yeah:

For those of you that have been accepted into the regular BSN program, i have created a Facebook group. I'm not very Facebook suave but it can atleast serve as a temporary page where we can share notes, questions, concerns, etc. Maybe down the road someone can create and moderate a more organized one. :)

They didn't even offer you a spot in the regular program? That bites. Atleast you have two schools that have accepted you, so you are going to become a nurse either way...and that's what counts.

Nope, does not even say if it's waitlisted for the accelerated or regular. I went through the waitlist ordeal last year with another school ... thank God I'm not enduring that again. You're right, we will be nurses either way!

I just received the UNF letter and I've been wait listed. I feel so rejected, and I've already cried about it. I'm trying to stay positive, but the initial reaction has not worn off. I thought I might have been offered a seat into their 2-year program... is that how is works if you applied to the accelerated and you don't get that one they might offer you a seat in the 2-year? I thought my interview went well, but I guess not... I'm sorry I'm being so depressing, but I am just so sad.

I am not going to stop applying to schools, and of course I plan on reapplying to UNF for the fall... I'm waiting to hear back from JU, but it's hard to say now whether or not I'll get in, because UNF didn't want me...

I know how you feel GGBRN. I was in shock yesterday, but I feel much better today. I live 3 minutes away from unf, and now I might have to move 3 hours away from my house!! Good luck to you all.

Don't ever give up!! You will go where you are meant to be at the right time!! I know, I can sometimes be disgustingly positive, but if you really want to be a nurse, persevere!!

WAITLISTED ALSO. Bummed out, feel rejected, and of course thinking of reasons... maybe being quite a bit older than the great majority of (if not all) applicants I saw at the interview?? I am also waitlisted at UCF. Drexel accepted me, "so there" (as Paco said, lol). BEST WISHES TO ALL OF YOU!!!

I can't believe I forgot to post here yesterday. I got in to the accelerated program...I also got into UCF accelerated, so I have a big decision to make! Tonight my husband and I are having one last discussion about which school I should attend, and I will be either emailing Beth tonight letting her know that I'm with UNF or I will continue with UCF (already sent back the preliminary acceptance). I'm still very torn about which school to attend :(

P.S. I will be getting an apartment in either Jax or Orlando for during the week, so I will be looking for roommates in the program!
