UNF summer 2011 hopefull

I would like to contact others who have applied to UNF for summer of 2011. Although I have a degree, I am applying for the RPL program and not the accelerated program because I have kids at home. I have 3.68 GPA and 87% TEAS V. I guess they will send out interview invitations mid-February.

pitterpatti- did you interview at 11:30? If so, which group were you in. I was denied acceptance for RPL. I'm in complete shock but planning on reapplying and first applications to JU, possibly UF (need to take GRE), and FSCJ. I will most definetly become a nurse. Congratulations to you!!! UNF has an excellent program and you are fortunate to have such a tough decision ahead of you. Best wishes...

To answer your question, I was at 11:30 and I was in group 1. I felt almost everyone did great in my group, and I'm pretty sure one of them did not get in but I'm not sure. Thank you for the congratulations. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I still have not made a decision on which school to attend, but I will hopefully figure it out by Monday giving one hopeful waitlist person a spot. :banghead: I know there are bigger problems in the world and even on this board, but to me, I just don't want to feel like I made the wrong decision.

Why Fall 2012? Won't we graduate in the Spring of 2013???? Or am I just way off? Fall 2012 sounds good to me :D

Oh, and when I try your link I get "This content is currently unavailable".

Are there any other non-traditional students in the regular program? I'm 42 and the mother of 4....hoping to find others around my age!

I thought we graduated at the end of the fall semester of 2012. We start this summer and it's a 5 semester program (summer, fall, spring, summer, fall). I could be wrong. :)

I have no idea why you are unable to find the group page. I tried to doing a search for it instead of clicking on my own page to access it and i couldn't even find it. I don't know enough about facebook to figure it out. If you want to start one i'll join yours, if not then i'm sure someone will eventually create one.

HM2Doc.....we don't attend classes the second summer. We go summer, fall, spring, fall, spring.

Yeah, i just realized that. :( Pesonally, i'd rather just go straight through nursing school without any break. I get paid to go to school (literally), and i get my schooling paid for, so if im not taking courses then i don't get paid. Oh well, i've got enough to cover it.

I agree. In talking to a traditional student during the interview process, she said she was not looking forward to her break this summer as she was afraid she might forget some of what she learned since it is all very cumulative.

Was anyone here in the 8:30 AM group #7? I would really love to know if anyone else from my group got in, I figure 2 or 3 of them for sure. Everyone did so well, the panel must have had some hard decisions to make.
