Anyone out there besides me going to apply ?
Hi all,
Can you all tell me what kind of gpas you had when you applied?
I'm interested in applying for Summer 2011 and really would like to gauge what scores are the ones they're accepting. I didn't have a competitive UF gpa; but my prerequisite gpa is high.
Also, how did you all feel about the TEAS test: easy, hard, moderate? Did you need to study? Buy review guide? Would love your feedback!!!
Hi, I'm currently in my first week of the Traditional Track BSN program at UNF. My GPA was a 3.70 and my prereq GPA was a 3.9. Also, I don't think they place as much emphasis on your GPA as they do your interview and TEAS score. I mean, you want it to be high but if you have a 3.5 or higher and a good TEAS score you should get an interview. They typically invite twice as many people to the interview as they accept. I got an 84% on my TEAS and my friend got a 78% and she made it in. If you are going for the Regular track just be aware that the people who apply for the accelerated can also be offered a traditional spot. I didn't know that, but I also was not eligible for the accelerated track and still got a spot.
I just today submitted my application for summer 2011, taking TEAS later this fall ... let's see what happens! I have been accepted to Drexel's ABSN in Philadephia but as much as I would love to go there and have peace of mind knowing that I got into a great program, I rather pay so much le$$ for a BSN, you know??
Just submitted my application for Summer 2011, wish me luck. How heavily does overall GPA count? My undergrad was pretty garbage, but I have 3.9 pre-requisite GPA, & a 97% TEAS-5 score....Any thoughts if I have a chance?
they don't look at your overall GPA as long as it's over 3.0. They care much more about your pre-req GPA.
How was the TEAS-5? I'm about to take it on Friday! I cannot find anyone else who has taken it so far... I was trying to find out if the stuff about rocks is on this version or not. I read that the test is easier than the practice tests; but that was a comment from someone who didn't know what version they took. Anyways, I have the ATI study guide and also the McGraw Hill study guide that I am using.

97% ... wow ... ... that is the highest I have ever seen. I say you have an excellent chance at an interview. I take TEAS in Nov.

I have heard that there are less questions on earth science, but some tests are heavy on the chemistry. Good to keep in mind as you study.

hey i also just got into the regular program but im happy i get to go some where! also i had to verify all my financial aid info by sending in w2s etc for 2008 for this summer. which was a pain in the butt. so just incase you might want to get them ready to send in. Im pretty sure i read somewhere that the first time you apply for aid at UNF you have to send in verification. I didnt have to verify any info for fall or spring.
