2012 UNF Accelerated BSN Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hey Everyone-

I haven't seen a thread for the UNF 2012 Accelerated BSN yet so i figured I would create one. The previous classes seemed like they got a lot out of sharing with one another so hopeful we can do the same. Feel free to share any information you have, where you are in the application process or just any woes or worries. Let try to help each other along in this stressful process.

Later and good-luck,

Eric

I feel really silly, but where is the student tab/academic profile?

When you log in to mywings, there should be tabs (blue with white writing) near the top with "home" "student" and "application"- at least that's how mine looks ;)

Mine only says home and application. I am so confused by having both the "departmental referral" and "cancelled" statuses. Does it say "denied" if you are denied?

Yes....its says Deny in bright red letters lol.

Hey Alf0880 :-)

The student tab shows up once you have a status confirmation, i.e., Admit, Deny, or Waitlist. It shows you that the university is now viewing you as a student of theirs, and that's why it looks slightly different than the "dashboard" that you had seen way back when you first got your N# and were still an applicant.

I hope this helps!

Until you have a status confirmation though, it will not give you a student tab. If your application status still says Departmental Referral, I think it must be because they haven't updated your academic profile and application yet.

This is just my thought, I may be wrong, but I noticed this happening to me when I was mistakenly put down as an Anthropology degree seeking student instead of a Nursing student. What a freak out day that was! Ha. :-)

So if I am not a student, but not admitted, denied or wait listed, what am I? Lol :-) Thanks for all the responses, this forum is so helpful!

Alf0880, I guess you're literally in limbo for the time being. Don't worry, I'm sure you won't have to wait long!

My status just changed to "admit" so apparently they are still updating until 5:00. But, I got in for traditional instead of accelerated so I'm not sure if I'm going to take it or take my spot at JU. It might be one spot for a wait listed applicant. I LOVE JU but don't know if I can stomach 43K in debt.

ack! Are Alf and I the only ones left in departmental referral??

Congrats Danielle3352!!!! Great news! I understand about the 43k. At least it's a good program. Did yours just say departmental referral or did it also say cancelled? :-)

Thanks. Mine went from departmental refer to admit.
