2012 UNF Accelerated BSN Hopefuls

Hey Everyone-

I haven't seen a thread for the UNF 2012 Accelerated BSN yet so i figured I would create one. The previous classes seemed like they got a lot out of sharing with one another so hopeful we can do the same. Feel free to share any information you have, where you are in the application process or just any woes or worries. Let try to help each other along in this stressful process.

Hey everyone!!! Congratulations to those who have gotten in! I would love your thoughts, I am so confused by my application status in my wings. In addition to it still saying departmental referral, it looks as if there is now a second application status above the nursing application which says 'cancelled'. ???? Does this mean denied? According to the stats, I would be surprised if I didn't get accepted or at the very least wait listed. My interview seemed to go well and I felt very comfortable. I called one-stop and was told that nursing admissions "did something" and to call them, but since it is spring break I was resorted to emailing. I would live some opinions!

I applied for the accelerated track. something weird happened to my status page... the application I have been checking was changed to "cancel" sometime this morning, but then was placed back at the bottom of my status page with "departmental referral". anyone else have this happen to them also? I'm thinking maybe I got into the regular track and not the accelerated?? And congratulations to those who have been accepted so far!

Because of the spring break I would try posting something on the their facebook page. Recently she updated the status and it was late in the evening so maybe she would see that during the break.

Mine still says departmental referral.

I'm thinking I may have gotten a spot in traditional instead of accelerated because when I clicked on my degree evaluation, it was "unavailable." It used to be set up for the accelerated program. Honestly I was really debating between the two programs anyway, so I am excited with a spot in either program.

roemerr, did you take a look at your page under the Student tab? In the lower left hand corner, it should say what type of program you have been admitted to. It will say in a box "Academic Profile", and all your relevant school details will be there.

I just found out I got in! Mine says "Admit" and under the academic profile box, it says it is for COH-BSN in Accelerated Nursing. Under "Major Concentration" it says "Prelicensure Accel. Nursing".

I think this is pretty definitive evidence of what program one got into, right? (Hopefully?)

for those of you that did get in can you recommend any particular study book for the TEAS. I am going to retake it next month before I apply for Fall because I think that is the reason I was denied. I bought a book last time but I don't think it was very helpful.

And congrats to all of you got it...so exciting :)
