Hospital Case Manager vs. RN Nurse Liaison
Thank you for the responses. The liaison position I am seeking would not require much travel as I would be stationed at one hospital. I'm not worried about the sales aspect that much either. I am curious if liaisons get bonuses based on marketing efforts. Can this area of Nursing be more lucrative than case management?

Hospital Case Manager vs. RN Nurse Liaison
Career advice please. I have interviews for two different jobs. One is for a Nurse Liaison for a reputable Acute Rehab Hospital, the other is for a hospital case manager position. I have been a case manager before, but I have never worked as a nurse liaison and cannot find much information about it. Has anyone here ever done that kind of work? I realize it is more of a marketing/sales position, but I would love to hear more from those who have worked in that role.

How does CM pay compare to bedside RN pay?
I suppose whether pay is better or worse than bedside nursing may depend on a few factors. What I mean is an experienced bedside nurse (5+ years lets say) who works weekends, evenings, holidays, overtime, ect. makes much more than a brand new nurse working only the required 36 hours, on day shift, with little to no weekend or evening shift differential or holiday pay. I just interviewed for a case management position in my hospital and I am hoping the pay will at least match what I'm making now as a relatively new nurse on days working no overtime and only the minimum of required weekend and holiday time. Of course I'm also hoping I get offered the job and the ability to answer this question after I learn or negotiate a potential salary. I was told it is a salaried, not hourly position.

Nurse Pract. in Florida 2015
Not sure about specific FNP practice regulations, but I have lived in both Tampa and Jax. Housing in Tampa is more costly, but the beaches and the weather are much nicer. Also, it seems there is much more to do in Tampa.

I took it today and some medications had both names, others had just one name.

Scrubs for plus size
Try Sanibel Scrubs. They are not too pricey and fit my plus size curves well. The fabric also has a little stretch to it.

How to get into Case Management
I will be a new grad nurse with my BSN in a couple of weeks. Formerly I spent 15 years as a high school English teacher. I am highly interested in eventually becoming a case manager. I have excellent communication and writing skills, I am good on the phone, and I love to advocate for others. Will these skills be helpful in Case Management? Also, are there any types of entry level jobs within case management? What additional training or coursework should I pursue for this career field? Is it best to begin on a general med-surg floor? Basically what would be the best way for me to reach my goal?

Just got hired as PCA - Advise Please
I will be full time over the summer and then drop down to part time when classes resume in the fall. I am in the float pool so I could be assigned just about anywhere. Shifts are 7 to 7. I have no problems with coffee (never liked the taste), but I will try to stay away from soda.

how do I find CNA jobs?
One of our nursing school instructors established a relationship with the HR guy at a large city hospital here in Florida. So far they have hired 4 of us and the HR guy has asked her for more students. Maybe ask at your instructors for help.

Just got hired as PCA - Advise Please
I am a nursing student that just got hired as a PCA at a large inner city hospital. I will be doing shift work for the first time ever. Any advice on how to get used to nights, 12 hour shifts, float pool, and everything else you wish you would have known when you started would be greatly appreciated.

Patho Pharm -- need help
Well the instructor emailed me back late yesterday. According to her, TTT means treatment. I would have never guessed that. Esme12, interestingly enough last term the instructors really, really stressed the importance of approved abbreviations. I really think the instructor just uses her own "shorthand" in her powerpoints.

Patho Pharm -- need help
Thank you. I did email the instructor. I wish she was as quick as all of the helpful people on this site. Sometimes I think she makes up her own acronyms to save time making the powerpoint, but it certainly does no good for the quiz before the lecture.

Patho Pharm -- need help
My professor tests on our preparation of material before her lecture. She gives us a powerpoint and uses many abbreviations. Can anyone here tell me what "TTT" may stand for in a powerpoint on the renal system? She uses the acronym three times with very little contextual information. When I googled it I came up with time, temperature, and transformation, but I really don't think that makes sense, so I'm looking for other possibilities. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
