- Question anout cna job
Yes ive attached my resume and cover letter and listed clinical hrs i have from nursing program so far and i applied mainly to hospitals and nursing homes. Maybe there s problem with my cover letter or resume...i think i wrote everything i needed to write even though there s not much to write about myself....- Question anout cna job
Hello all! i need words of wisdom from all cna and student nurses with cna certf as well. How did you all managed to get a job without any experience and no connections? Im really struggling to find a nurse aide job without any prior experiences. So far all i got was email responses saying their looking for a candidate with more experience. If their unwilling to even consider an inexperienced candidate, where am i suppose get exp to meet their qualification of exp candidate? I was hoping i could get a nurse aide job to broaden my perspective, earn money to pay off loans, enhance my nursing skills and use it as a stepping stone to improve my chances of finding a nursing job in the future but i guess this is all too high for me to achieve before i graduate from a nursing school.....- how do I find CNA jobs?
I'm a nursing student who recently challenged for CNA test, passed the test, and earned the CNA license. I was excited that I could work at a hospital as a CNA while taking nursing classes/clinicals. There were many positions open in different nursing homes and hospitals, but they seemed to accept applicants with EXPERIENCE. I've applied to at least ten different open CNA positions, only to receive email saying their looking for better qualified candidate for the position (some places never even sent me a message). So here's my questions to CNA's or nursing students, how can i improve my odds of getting a CNA job at a hospital or nursing homes with little to no experince? I do have clinical hours but so far they seem to be not impressed with it.- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls

Does that mean we need access code for all the textbooks? Or just the ones that actually listed need access code next to the title of the book from the required list?- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
@alex1987 Thank you for clearing up my confusion! One last question! do you know which classes we need to buy access codes? I know people talked about access codes from previous posts, were they talking about the basic and advanced kits for RNSG 1144?- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
Someone help me out~~~ Is this required textbook for RNSG 1209 as well? TITLE:Fundamentals of Nursing: The Art and Science of Nursing Care FORMAT:CaféScribe Format AUTHOR:Taylor EDITION:1st COPYRIGHT YEAR:2010 PUBLISHER:Lippincott Williams & Wilkins ISBN:9781609136680 DIGITAL:$111.99 And where can I find textbook information for RNSG 1144 and 1146? they're not showing up when I searched on my lonestar page. Also why is RNSG 1105 and 1209 requiring same textbook but different editions? They both listed Nutrition Essentials for Nursing Practices but RNSG 1105 listed 3rd edition and RNSG 1209 listed 6th edition w/access code.... Do we still have to buy both of them?- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
I received fund of success and test success textbooks today. I was expecting 100 or so pages, but it is more like around 400~600? pages (i haven't opened them yet, it is based on thickness of the book).- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
To be on the safe side, I just entered ISBN listed on the textbook requirement page and purchased them on Amazon. If I buy older editions and find out they have no access codes or no cd's etc, it would take me more time to sort things out ,and we don't have time to waste since we have loads of homework to do before 1st of class. @alex1987 yes I bought them since they're under the required list... They should have explained to us better about textbooks and other stuff at the orientation but she was hurrying to just finish it off....- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
@hopeful well if you look around, used book prices will be different in different book stores (e.g. amazon, ebay, school book store, and others). Just try to find place where you can get the best deal.....textbooks, all five classes, will cost at least 500 or up based on my order... i've odered all the books fot two classes from amazon and so far, i've spent around $450... @trixforkids wait we have to buy scrub jacket as well? i thought scrub was only thing we had to buy- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
could you give me hint as to how to get the best deals online? only sources I use are amazon or ebay.... I've finished my order on two classes and I have spent 460 already....so sad right now Also where do we buy cheap and good quality scrubs?? we can get any color we want right? To everyone who ordered already, what's the difference between the copyright and publication date? reason I'm saying is because amazon showed only publication date and the school website showed copyright date of the required textbooks, and they both showed different dates and years- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
really? you managed to order all the required books under 500??? wow- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
@ donnabil you mean packard math/conversion textbook? or are you talking about basic and advance packet?(this is for one of the class) @alex1987 wow you have morning class? I have afternoon class. I tried to change but only few am people wanted to change their schedule to pm.- Lonestar Spring 2012 Hopefuls
wow I was speechless at the end of the order from amazon because my total was over $300 just for the Nursing skill I class.... I have not yet ordered mine yet but jeez... why are there so many textbooks for that one class? @alex1987 are you also ordering 2nd 8week class textbooks as well? - Question anout cna job
