2012 UNF Accelerated BSN Hopefuls

Hey Everyone-

I haven't seen a thread for the UNF 2012 Accelerated BSN yet so i figured I would create one. The previous classes seemed like they got a lot out of sharing with one another so hopeful we can do the same. Feel free to share any information you have, where you are in the application process or just any woes or worries. Let try to help each other along in this stressful process.

Alf0880 - I know it is a big difference and a huge decision to make. I wish us both luck on figuring it out. Let me know what you decide (if you don't mind) and I will do the same.

Roemerr - I already have health insurance - sorry I don't have any info on that.

Hey guys. Your comments have been very helpful about checking the MyWings account to see the status change. I have been so impatient waiting for the letter! For those of you familiar with the Jacksonville area, do you have any suggestions about apartments or finding roommates? Thanks so much!

So what would happen if we were to say no to the rpl, but still want to be wait listed for the accelerated track? Is that an option? Or do we have to accept the rpl in order to still be considered on the wait list for the accelerated? I have health insurance with my current job, which I can legally continue for 18 months after leaving the job (although expensive)....again, I would be good with the accelerated but with the rpl I would have to find another health plan in the middle of the program. Decisions decisions!!!!! :-) I def am grateful though!!!!

Alf0880 - no that's not an option. If you say no to rpl you lose your chance at the accelerated. (I verified.) And I am with you - very grateful.

Futurebsn2b-- we are in the same boat then. I am trying to consider all factors but I am having a difficult time making a final decision. I'm scared to turn down either in case something falls through with other.

Danielle3352 - I know. I feel like I have nothing lose with JU except money and nothing to lose with UNF except time. Need to figure out which is more valuable to me at this point as they are both excellent programs. Good luck - keep me posted!

I'm at work so I would love to hear the details for those of you who get letters today. I want to RSVP my slot, but like others, I really hope to get bumped into the accelerated program. Anyone waiting to hear from other schools still? I only applied to UNF.

I applied to UF and UNF, UF is supposed to get us a decision by the beginning of April (ack!). I'm at work too, but my BF is supposed to let me know when the mail comes... I hope the letter is in there!!
