Under Soft Lock Down

I do not believe there is any threat to the schools but we have gone under precautionary lock down. There was a shooting near by and the shooter hasn't been apprehended yet. I believe the officials made a wise and justified call, but please remember us right now.

Skoolnurse, are you in AL? Because if you are, I know exactly what you're talking about. I wondered if they ever lifted the lockdown after they found the guy.

I was also wondering if you were in Alabama?

We lost four people a few weeks ago in a shooting about 10 miles away (about 1.5 miles from an elem. school). Finally found out it was related to drugs (the Dad who didn't know anything was in the opium trade business). Minutes after a natl. ABP went out, some cops in Utah saw the vehicle and went to pull them over, the perps. fled and killed himself (and the passenger in the car).

Crazy stuff.

Yes. I am in AL. The lockdown was released about 2:30. I really do not want to discuss anything over this thread about it, except to say that this is a very small community and every one here is related and close. THANK YOU for all your prayers and thoughts at that time. I could feel them! Please continue to remember our communities.
