UNC BSN 2015

Hi all, I just submitted my UNC BSN application for the Summer 2015 program and I wanted to start this thread. I'm super anxious about waiting for the decision especially since there are so many that typically apply. Anyone else applying? Are there any current UNC students that have some insight about the program or admissions?

Congrats Cje! I still won't know for a while. A letter could be sitting in the mailbox of my house in NC and I still wouldn't know because my mom is visiting at the moment. It appears that they don't send out all the letters at the same time also, same thing happened last year; some people might still have to wait a couple days more, and the online status updates a bit later. So much anxiety right now. Good luck to everyone.

I'm getting nervous that it's not a good sign I didn't get a letter... Cje did the letter say when the portal would be updated or when you have to notify?

Thank you, I'm still trying to remain optimistic. I got my mail really early today and it was there in a bigger than normal envelope (hoping it was an acceptance).

Definitely stay positive! Seems like several people have gotten in off the wait list in past years. Thanks for the update - seems like there's a good chance all the other locals will hear today too...

Another question for you all - have you finished all your prereqs or are you still working on the last few? I was told prior to applying that they do give preference to applicants who have already finished all of the prereqs (even though it's not required) for the BSN program. I am taking my last few right now so unfortunately that plays against my application.

I finished all my prereqs and have even taken courses to get ahead of the curriculum like nutrition and developmental psychology.

RedtoBlue, when was your letter dated? Was it dated March 5th like cje's?? My mail won't come till later today so i'm getting pretty worried...
