My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
I think the happiest moment will be when one of us posts that she/he has been accepted! But, I feel as though we may have another week or two to wait. So I hope everyone relaxes and enjoys life :) I have been wishing time away lately, and I have to stop that! Anyways, happy Monday, y'all! Have a great week :)
Not a joke. Sorry I am still in shock and now having pseudo-anxiety because mine is provisional which I expected. However, at the back of my head I thought it would be a NO and I was already preparing to drop this class that I am taking because my midterms were not that great. I would need a B and my mid term is a C. I thought If I get a no, I can drop then retake in the Spring, reapply for fall 2016 Now I really need to work hard! So I am sorry if I did not reply right away. I had to think about a lot of things and also pray.
Kayrock you are right, mine is RN-BSN. Which is really the same program as the traditional, as I was told. Anyway, do not lose hope! THIS IS THE WEEK :-)
Ahh CONGRATULATIONS on getting accepted, madmls!! I'm hoping that everything will turn out well for you. Give it your all to bang out a B! Even if you're not sure about the outcome of the class you're currently taking, you should still be VERY PROUD OF YOURSELF that you got accepted
This awful chemistry. The thing is, I already took this class in another country 10 years ago or so but the equivalency to US credits is only 3.75. Of course UMSON wants 4 credits. Hence I have to retake. I have to talk to my professor later to figure out the possibilities.
Just to add, nobody called me - I have been home all day. No email as well or letter. I just happen to check the SURF's site.
Chemistry was my worse enemy when I took it in college. The most terrible enemy that I had to retake it to get a better grade . I feel your pain madmls!
I am in Gen Chem right now and it is awful! Luckily my professor offers SO MUCH extra credit that I have over a 100% (and I really do not know what we are actually learning, haha). The thing that helps me though is going to my community college's tutoring staff and doing the practice problems in the textbook! Chemistry is rough...But you obviously have the determination and work ethic, you can do it! Any like @kayrock said, you should be proud of yourself regardless of what happens!
At this point I'm getting really tired of my son's school calling with their automated messages from all the 410 numbers. OMG! I've lost the anxiety and I've calmed down but goodness!
