REMINDER!!! The deadline to submit your Fall application is nearing. As of now, the deadline has not changed from February 2 (short of 4 weeks away).
This is my second time applying--I was wait listed for the Spring term. Currently, I am studying to take my TEAS exam again on January 27th. This exam was the only portion of my application I was not confident in. I scored a 70% without refreshing my memory on key concepts by studying before hand. I did find the test to be a "you either no it or you don't" kind of thing so from personal experience--STUDY!
I have no outstanding prerequisites and my sciences are as follows:
AP1. -- B
AP2. -- A
CHEM -- B
MICRO -- A
I had the privilege of chatting with the last group of students and found this forum to be quite helpful! Please use this post as a way of communicating, sharing experiences, and giving advice. Hopefully, we will be classmates in the Fall!:)
well thanks :) I got into one school already so that's helpful if UM doesn't work out I guess. Do you know how many people apply each yr for the Fall program?
I went to the Open House and what I can tell you is that only 88 people will be admitted for the Baltimore campus while 56 will be admitted for Shady Groove. I've heard that 300-500 people apply per term and for fall semesters they have seen upwards to 800 applicants!
Those are the same circulating numbers that I've heard mentioned as well. I put all my eggs in one basket again this term because I really do not care to attend another nursing school .. crazy, I know!
Thx for the info...WOW that is super competitive...I'll try not to freak out but it's good to know, I guess. I don't really want to attend another school either MiMi3. I've gotten into Salisbury University so if either UMSON or Towson doesn't work out, I've got somewhere. Salisbury is my last choice, though...just bc of the location. I live in the city and it's a good 2-3 hrs from me and I'm not crazy about the area but I know it's a good school. I like UMSON's location and partnerships and seems like the staff are stellar there.

Wait you already got into Salisbury?? When did you find out? I haven't heard a word yet!!!
yea pinkeagle it was rly fast...i got a letter last night. the letter said "the committee met and your application was among the ones reviewed." i am supposed to send a letter of intent by next week .which sucks bc we don't hear from umson for a while...
it looks like they review in batches and maybe it was by name or prior degree or something? i wouldn't worry abt it :)

Well considering you have experience in public health I wouldn't be sweating my application too much, if I were you! :)
I will say these threads last time around offered great measures of peace! It's so nerve wrecking awaiting a decision.
