Who is applying?

I was provisional admitted (Shady Grove) on Monday but have not received a call. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, there isn't any apparent pattern in whether you get the call or the online update first. Hang tight, I'm sure they'll be in touch soon :)

I called them, but they were not helpful at all. In fact, they sounded super annoyed and rushed me off the phone. Whatever, my application is complete and apparently they are still reviewing applications. I'm on my way to the post office to drop of my acceptance for Towson.....but I'm worried that I just wasted $200. Towson receives just as many applicants as UMD and the process is far less stressful!

No, but I just got an email from Shady Grove from Katharine Dever. It's a nice email with a link about scholarships. She said she will be calling everyone soon.

I haven't received the packet, but I also just received the email from Karen in regards to the shady grove campus.

I just got off the phone as well. The woman was very calm and helpful. She advised me all decisions have been made and that we will be receiving notification today or tomorrow. She said that we all will ABSOLUTELY know by the end of this week...lets hope thats right.

I hope that's right!! If I can know by Friday and it's good news, then I can call my bank to halt any payments made to Towson! I still feel a bit pessimistic just because so many people have been accepted already, but I just want to know so that I can move on from here. I'm still missing 2 courses before I start at Towson, so above all, I would like to know my status at UMD before I spend money on another nutrition course!

I just checked my status for roughly the 10th time today and my status finally changed. Provisional-Admit! Should not be a problem, my lowest grade in any of my classes this semester is a 98 right now. I had my status change some time between 3pm and 4:45pm, and I have not received a call. I can't wait to meet all of you who got in to the Baltimore campus soon!

That is 2 semesters in a row for me - maybe this time I'll actually get off the wait-list.
