Congratulations to everyone that got in. I'm really hoping I get accepted. I have been denied 2ce at towson. Don't know if I can take anymore denials.

Can I ask u guys a question. I'd like to know what ur general GPA, science GPA and teas score was to help me know where I stand. Truth be told I have a 3.0 science GPA and 3.4 overall and I had 83.3% on my teas. I feel like I'm not competitive which sucks but I'll really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Also is it an automated call, better still can someone explain what the call entails? Do u only get a call if you're accepted?

You and I have similar stats except I have an overall GPA of a 3.01 from my undergrad university (once upon a time I was a premed so my upper level bio classes killed me!). My GPA for the required nursing pre-reqs (especially the ones for UMB) is basically a 4.0 and I got an 81.4% on my TEAS. I have a lot of medical experience as well as public health experience from my pre-med days. I got accepted to Towson, but I was accepted into the Hagerstown campus. I thought it would be less competitive to get in there but I checked out the Fall 2014 stats, and 53 ppl applied and only 23 got in!! I wasn't expecting that! Trust me, I am just as scared and nervous as you are about UMB. I've read that if you don't have a 3.5 or higher you don't have a chance but then I also read that they look at your entire packet. I don't know what to believe but I hope the latter is true because my CV is great and my nutrition teacher wrote the most amazing req for me, I cried when I read it. I know I have the potential to be a great nurse, hell we ALL DO!, but if they play the number game with our GPA and TEAS scores then there's not much I can do. I'm going to be super French and hope for the best but expect the absolute worse!

Since its already 6 pm in Maryland right now, I'm guessing (?) that they probably won't be making any calls or changes to the apps at this point??

Looking at last Fall quarter's thread, it seems that the first few people got accepted on April 8-10, and people posted about being accepted still on the 11th. So I'm hoping that there is still hope for us whose application still says committee ready. I guess the suspense will have to continue until Monday... Let's hang in there everyone!! And congratulations to everyone who has gotten in already!!!

Does anyone know what the admitted students do next? Are we supposed to register for classes or send in a deposit or anything?
