Hello all, I am planning to apply to UMSON in the fall 2016. I haven't seen a thread yet for other hopefuls and potential candidates. So I wanted to start one.

This is crazy, I have orientation on Tuesday for the other program I got into. UMSON will receive my final transcript before I even know my decision. Has it taken this long in the past? Does anyone know when the normal date is that everyone has their decisions?

I've lived in the city for the past couple of years, and can give neighborhood recommendations if needed! Some of the major neighborhoods around the downtown area also have UM shuttles that travel through them to campus, so that makes it more convenient (Federal Hill, Fells Point/Canton - new route, Mount Vernon, and Midtown). Fayette square is definitely convenient because it's so close to campus buildings...I don't know much about the details of living there though. Good luck on your search!

@amoda Thank you. Congratulations I'm super excited. I'm still debating on where to live. Currently I live in state, about 40 minutes away. It would be nice to live closer to cut down on the commute but I'm not sure.

To those on the Wait List:

Did anyone reply back to your email when you notified them you wanted to stay on the Wait List? I emailed them a couple weeks ago confirming I wanted to remain on the list but did not receive a confirmation email back... Just checking to see if this is the case with all Wait Listed applicants. Last year they emailed me back, not sure if it's different this year.

I emailed them too, and I did not get any thing back. I guess that is normal :)

I called and emailed admissions for another problem of mine... For 2 weeks and NOTHING!!!! I have no idea what's going with them, but I just wanted to express my disappointment at the way they handle things. Very unprofessional. No one can help; emails never get answered; voicemails are ignored. Very frustrating to deal with them. I was expecting better from a school like this. If Montgomery college can stay on top of things, I don't know what's their problem.

Its really disorganized. I sent 3times my additional material for application including I went there and gave them on hand. But they still asked me same thing when they reviewed my application.

Is there anyone else who's application status is still Committee Ready? I check my status like a 1000 times a day and I have called the school so many times, but nobody ever picks up.
