Hello all, I am planning to apply to UMSON in the fall 2016. I haven't seen a thread yet for other hopefuls and potential candidates. So I wanted to start one.

New to the thread. Still "commitee ready" for Traditional BSN. Kind of ridiculous, but I guess they are super busy. I've already been accepted to Towson, and have been waiting as long as possible to pay the seat/enrollment fees. Hope I hear from UMSON soon..

That's so weird I thought everyone would have had their decisions by now o.o Hopefully you hear back soon before Towson deposit is due, but congratulations on your acceptance to Towson! :)

I emailed them Monday of last week, and they said to check my status on that Thursday, as they were reviewing my application. Nothing happened so I'm not really sure..

You know, I'm thinking they may be preoccupied with other things going on at admissions like changes in staff... I don't think my main contact from the last time I applied is still there. Could explain why admissions releases are delayed this term too.

I suppose. I try not to judge because I have no idea what variables they have to manage, but I think it's dragging out a little too long, borderlining on being unfair to us. I've already made payments and sent my letter of intent to Towson, which has a late deadline (yesterday). Because SON is taking to long, I will have to go back and rescind my acceptance, and lose out on the money. Just frustrating..

UPDATE: Juana Rodriguez, the lady that has been replying to my emails, just said all decisions will be released by Friday.

Yeah, I could not imagine what it'd be like if I were in your position :no:. I know people in the past have done that and lost out on the deposit they made for Towson because they got into UMSON later (yay!)... but it's still money going down the drain.

I have my decision already (Wait Listed) but am waiting for a miracle to happen hoping they'll get back to me before orientation in August.

But I hope they get back to you soon I know how grueling it feels to wait at "Committee Ready" and not have any idea of when you're going to hear back especially when others heard back weeks before.

When you get Wait Listed, is there a way to find out what number you are on the wait list? Or is that not how it works? And yea, I'm just keeping the ball rolling with Towson, and planning on going there unless SON says otherwise, whether it be through an acceptance now, or if I get waitisted and then chosen for admission later.

I don't think they have a numbered wait list. I think it's however many seats get turned down by accepted students is how many people get pulled off the wait list. And admissions goes over the wait listed applicant pool and chooses who gets admitted to fill in the seats. So wait listed applicants really have no idea if they are going to get pulled off.

Any news form CNL applicants?

I had my interview last week and they said that I will hear back in 2-3 weeks. They were also kind enough to ask if I was waiting to deposit on another school and what date, so that they could get back to me before that date! Still patiently waiting though. I have a feeling once they get back to me (if i get in) I will only have a couple of days to choose and put down my deposit, without having my financial aid package ready :(

Are you waiting on your interview?? I am sure you will hear soon because the last date for interviews on the email I got was May 10th! So they are probably going to do the next batch of interviews now!
