Hi amoda! Congrats on getting in!! I also interviewed 2 weeks ago for the CNL program but have not received my decision yet Would you mind sharing what day exactly you interviewed?? Also, when you say you couldn't make it, do you mean you tried to defer and they didn't let you?? just asking because my friend was admitted and she might have to defer because of a serious family situation so I really hope they let her defer to the Spring cycle

June?!?! are you serious? Thats very unfair Honestly, the cohort should have been set and fixed like last month...not still in the process of being interviewed

I had my interview last week and they said that I will hear back in 2-3 weeks. They were also kind enough to ask if I was waiting to deposit on another school and what date, so that they could get back to me before that date! Still patiently waiting though. I have a feeling once they get back to me (if i get in) I will only have a couple of days to choose and put down my deposit, without having my financial aid package ready Are you waiting on your interview?? I am sure you will hear soon because the last date for interviews on the email I got was May 10th! So they are probably going to do the next batch of interviews now!

Any CNL applicants hear about an interview or hear back from them after an interview lately??

I think it is for people who have not yet interviewed! I am pretty sure they are wrapping up the admissions process and the final interviews will be next week until they fill the cohort. And yes! Stay optimistic!

@edelate than you so much for the helpful info!!! Also just wondering, how much of a time frame did they give you to pay the deposit? I am pretty sure all you CNL people will hear back soon. I think they way they do the rolling admissions is first based on when people turned in their application and then they keep inviting people for interviews as other accepted students decline their spots. So this way they interview/accept just enough people until the cohort is filled. I think this is how it works, not 100% sure though! So hang in there!

Thanks guys! I got the email from SON CNL Program I had to respond to the email with my top three time preferences. I have a feeling that May 10th is the last day they will be doing interviews, so you should get your interviews in the next couple days for sure!!! I will be doing a Skype interview because I live in California :)

Hey CNL people still waiting for interviews: I was just emailed a couple hours ago about an interview so check your emails!! FINALLY. Interview dates went all the way up to May 10th in my email, so if you haven't already heard back you should all hear back soon! Any of the already admitted CNL applicants have any interview tips? :)

@resevil How did you get your ID and password to check your financial aid package??

Did they say if they are still giving out interviews?? Or are they done with the CNL interviews and just waiting to send out the rejections....

I am interested in anesthesiology as well! GTU has a great anesthesiology program :) Yeah I agree. I am definitely not interested in staying an RN for the rest of my career so in order to advance I think a masters degree from a great university does help. Still waiting for them to respond to my emails/phone calls about financial aid though. So once that comes through, I will make my final decision! Yeah no one is responding :/ I think Ill send someone a private message and see if they respond!

@hopefuls12 I can't agree with you more! I am tired of waiting... I think I am going ahead with another school at the end of this week. The deposit for the other school is May 20th so if I don't hear back from UMSON by May 15th I will be paying the other deposit. I hope we hear this week. The wait is crazy!!

resevil thats why I applied to the CNL program (bc masters seems to hold more). But I have been doing some research on the CNL role and found a couple of forums in which everyone seemed to think it was a waste because CNLs oversee nurses in a particular department, however, since a lot of CNL programs are entry-level, the CNLs have no nursing experience. So the argument was that how can a CNL oversee nurses when they have no nursing experience. I do realize if not for a CNL job, I could just work as an RN after graduating, but in that case I could just also go to an ABSN program. Thats where I'm having trouble deciding I guess. In terms of the GTU program, I haven't heard much. I think I will try to post on last year's GTU forum to see if any current students can provide info!

I tired to contact the assigned person for financial aid but they haven't gotten back to me yet :/ I have a couple questions for you guys regarding the CNL role in general though. I honestly haven't heard very good things about it so far, so I am wondering what you guys think of it? I even tried to see if I could look up current CNL jobs on Indeed but there was literally only one job offered. I am just wondering if it is worth it to spend so much money on a degree that doesn't have very good job prospects. Any input?
