i am SO TIRED OF WAITING!!!!! :crying2: :bugeyes: :uhoh3: :madface: i turned in my app. on aug 26th, and i called yesterday and was told they are still reviewing files, so sometime around the end of Oct. this is so nerve wrecking, i honestly don't know how i would handle rejection. but i am praying everyday that i get accepted. finding this site is the only thing that calms my nerves. well thanks for reading, and any responses would be wonderful on what else to do to occupy my time. going crazy here:banghead:

That's strange, I applied on the 26th also and everything wasn't completed until Sept. 15th and I got my acceptance on Oct 3rd.

Whoa! Take a bit and calm down first *hugs*

"Committee Ready" may not necessarily mean they rejected you. I know when I asked them about decisions before I got my own they explained that if you had the GPA necessary they really couldn't reject you. However you could be placed on the waiting list. I would call them up and calmly ask what it means- I know they draw people up from the waiting list once they start finalizing the class list. Some people defer admission for a semester, have family problems or money concerns that postpone acceptance, plenty of things could happen that could present you with a spot.

Something else that someone told me when I was freaking out over the application process was that we're all good students to be applying to nursing school. If they don't accept you for this semester it doesn't necessarily mean "you'll never be a nurse." Perhaps the decision time just isn't right for now but next semester...who knows? I know the first time I applied to nursing school I definitely wasn't ready, its all a matter of timing. Either way my thoughts are with you :heartbeat

at wcccd the last day that you could turn in your app was sept. 30th, then after that they said they would start looking at apps. what school do you attend? and by the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :up: :yeah:

I know how it feels to get yourself all worked up over something. It likely doesn't make you feel any better but, it will work out somehow. Have you applied anywhere else? Do you have a back up plan?

Sometimes your "first choice" really might not be the best choice for you..

i was gonna apply elsewhere but they changed their policy to in-district priority first. a lot of schools around here do that. schoolcraft is one and so is hfcc. besides there is no waitlist. but if i don't accepted then i will be forced to pursue a plan b. when i talked to the program director some weeks ago she said everything sounds good, so keeping my fingers crossed.

I called them yesterday morning, and a counselor told me that it means "they have not decided yet" they're still reviewing my application.. I am very worry because I do not know why is taking them so longgg. I apply on august 29th, but they received all the documents on September 19th because I am an international student and they asked for foreign transcripts and letters. I think I have a good GPA (3.65) but I do not how competitive is and I know I did not do good on the NET. I am waiting and praying for me and for those of you that havent had a response.

They also told me that it could take 4 or 6 weeks after the deadline!!!! I dont know if I will survive I am sooo stressed!

I just apply to CUA and CUC. Do you have any suggestions?

At this stage of the game, all you can do is wait. There will be people who choose to forfeit their spot, and then they will be systematically opening up spots.

Try not to let it eat you up. I know how stressful the process is...I'm walking through it too!

hey everyone...for all of you who got in for the spring semester...what were your gpa's?? both science and overall? i want to apply for the fall because i will have all the classes by the end of the spring semester...but i dont think my gpa is all that good since its about a 3.1/3.2 so im thinking about waiting to apply for spring 2010...so it would b nice to kno what everyone had. thanks guys!!! :-)
