UMB FALL 2011

Published

I will be applying for the Fall 2011 program at UMB really really soon. I was wondering if anyone else was doing the same...? I'm really nervous about applying because Anatomy really kicked my butt last semester and I ended up getting a C (even though I ended up doing really well on my other science courses). Now, I'm losing hope. Anyone feeling the same?

Hi Guys!

Congrats to all! I just came back from lunch and saw there were 4 new pages on the blog so I knew something was up. And I got in too! Huzzah to all and I can't wait to see you guys in the fall!

Izzy

Maybe they are going through it and updating app statuses based on how early we applied.

Got my call today!!!! Very excited! :-)

Ok, haven't been posting here because I've been too nervous. But I got my call today and I feel incredible. Good luck to everyone!

Just my call today too. I am so excited!:nurse:

Your application date has nothing to do with it. And there are still decisions to be made next week. It is not over until it is over, folks, so hang in there.

Grey Lady do you know when RN-BSN students will start being notified about acceptance?

I don't, I am sorry. But the entire process has a ways to go yet.

I am in as well, I was really conflicted about saying my status as not everyone has heard yet. I truely hope you (Kayrool, MomBak2Skool and KSM84 as well as the RN-BSN, CNL, and Adv Practice applicants) hear something soon. Like I said before there is still alot of time between today and the first day of class, and as a firm believer in Murphy's Law the door is never shut.

For those of you that are going to the program at USG please introduce yourselves (but w/o names as this is a public forum)

So... Who are all the SG applicants?

Shady Grove students are not segregated into a different applicant pool - every applicant is evaluated using the same process without regard to requested campus. However, because we take fewer students, we tend to fill the class first from the acceptances - but not always. If there is no room at our campus a slot is offered to the accepted student on main campus in Baltimore. So it really does not hurt or help your application to choose a specific campus.

I am not sure I did nor am I sure I can answer your question.

Thats pretty cool that it works out that way, but I don't think I put my original question into a proper context. I was really just wanting for all of us to get to know each other, give apt advice to those new to the area and the like. I guess we could start another thread like in past cycles to keep the clutter down in this forum.

I got my call this afternoon! (provisional admit for SG campus) Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting...

I'll be going to the Shady Grove campus...unless Hopkins offers me an insane amount of $$ (not holding my breath). Looking forward to meeting everyone on accepted students day! =) Hoping those who haven't heard anything yet, hear back soon!
