UMass Memorial Residency (Worcester)

I applied and just received a call for interview at UMass Memorial for their New Grad Residency Program. Has anyone been through this residency program? And if so, can you offer any particulars (both positive and/or negative). I've searched through the allnurses site and was only able to find much older forums from '10-'12.

I am going to be graduating this May and have been interested in applying for the nurse residency program at Umass. I surfed the web to see if there is any info about how to apply and I could not really find anything specific. When does the program start and when do we need to apply? Also, what is included in the application (i.e. recommendation letters, transcript)? Thank you!

I believe this year they aren't doing it because we are getting epic in October. I think they're pushing it until December instead of the normal start in September

Thank you for your response! So does that mean there is not going to be a residency program at all until december? Should I apply for their regular RN positions?

They won't hire any new grads if they don't do a residency

Hi! I know this is an old thread, but I would like to apply to the UMass Nurse Residency for 2017. I'm wondering when the application was made available last year. Can anyone give me any input? Thanks so much!

As I said a few posts up, they aren't doing a residency this year because we are getting epic. There are potentially doing a December one depending on how epic roll out goes.

They currently have a nurse residency group that is going on right now. One of my classmates was accepted and is currently in it now. She told me there may be one in the summer and if not then definitely the fall.

Hi all! I know this thread is a bit outdated, but I'm wondering what your experience in the new grad program was like. How long from applying did it take you to hear back, how was the program structured, pay, basically anything you could tell me about it I would be so grateful! Thanks in advance!

hi - i looked on their website and didnt see anything to apply for residency programs, only individual jobs. am i missing something?
