  1. They currently have a nurse residency group that is going on right now. One of my classmates was accepted and is currently in it now. She told me there may be one in the summer and if not then definitely the fall.
  2. That's not a problem! BHCC can be a little misleading at times which is why I ended up just going with LM/RC. I just feel a lot more comfortable and confident with their whole process.
  3. I don't know where you got your information from @Karatefoot but they do accept them from other colleges. I handed in my completed application months ago and went over everything with the admissions staff including my Teas scores from NSCC. They accepted everything I passed in.
  4. I got accepted to Lawrence Memorial/Regis! Received my email today. I chose to start in Jan. I'm very excited. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with LM/RC it just feels like the right place for me. I'm still interested to see what BHCC says but I'll be sending in my deposit which pretty much seals my deal!
  5. Had my interview today at Lawrence Memorial!!! I feel like it went great. I wish BHCC would give a decision sooner than Nov... If I get accepted to Lawrence Memorial they require the non-refundable deposit within 30 days since I applied for Jan... That kinda stinks... It's a good chunk of money to throw away if let's say I then get accepted to BHCC and decide to go there... Ugh decisions decisions!
  6. Submitted my application for Bunker Hill and Lawrence Memorial this week. Now the waiting begins!
  7. Yes, for the same reason as you, to have enough time to hear back from BHCC.
  8. Congrats on your acceptance jackelyn89!
  9. I am going to apply to the Lawrence Memorial Nursing Program also. I need a night/weekend program due to the fact I have to keep working.
  10. I have ****** as a teacher for Microbiology I go Tues and Wed nights from 6-8ish. She usually lets us out early. She gives out study guides for each exam that really help with the studying process. Lab are fun and interesting. Lectures are not so interesting. I have ************(sp) for Drug Calculations which I'm taking online. The course is made for students to go at their own pace, you just have to make sure you get to the testing center before specific dates for the midterm and final. It is really easy you just have to read and do the practice ex.'s in the book. The only things submitted are a few discussions. No actual work is submitted. All work is intended to help you succeed in the course. This will be my first degree, exciting! I will continue to work throughout the program (if I get in) I only work 32.5 hrs a week anyways. I also have 3 children ages 3,5,+9 so it's going to be a crazy couple of years.
  11. SKay226 and jackelyn89 looks like we will all be applying together! It's coming up fast! The application dates for Spring 2015 are 06/02/2014 – 09/12/2014. I don't know about you ladies but it feels like I've been preparing a long time for this. I'm currently taking Drug Calculations online with a Philosophy class and Microbiology at night. After these classes I will have finished all pre reqs and co reqs required for the BH program so I really hope I get in. SKay226 I'm also interested to know if they only look at pre reqs to determine GPA. I hope someone can answer that question for us. I know they look at your TEAS score but the website really doesn't give much information in how they determine who gets in.
  12. Thank you so much for all the information. It has been very helpful.
  13. Hey! Thank you for responding. Yes, I've already taken my TEAS. I took them at NSCC: Reading 76.9% Math 66.7% Science 64.6% English and Language 70%. I believe BHCC requires 47.6% in Reading, 46.7% in Math, 37.5% in Science. My math score isn't high enough to apply to the NSCC program they require a 74%. Do you know if they take TEAS scores taken at another college? They also do not state a minimum GPA for admission into program, do you know if there is a minimum GPA? I've gotten A's and B's in my math and sciences and after this semester I will have completed all Pre and Co reqs for the program. I work and I'm also a mother of 3 so I'm looking for an idea of what days/times I'll be in class and at clinicals. How do you like the program? Professors? Anything you did/didn't like about the program? Anything you would recommend to future students?
  14. Just wondering if there was anyone out there that is applying to the Bunker Hill Community College Nursing Program this year. I'm hopefully applying in the next application cycle after this semester of Micro, Drug Calc, and a Philosophy class. I'm looking into the night/weekend courses. Current GPA of 3.2.
