  1. Thank you for your input! I passed the AANP exam today. Like most of you I did a bunch of research and read a lot of forums on how to prep for the exam. I didnt have hundreds and hundreds of dollars to be spending on CDs and prep courses for information I should have learned through school and clinicals!! So I bought the Fitzgerald and Leik prep books (together under $100) and read them through. I then bough Holliers question book which is solely practice questions. Lastly I purchased the 2 practice exams on the AANP PSI website. With this prep I felt more than ready for the exam and had no issue with the exam itself!! There were a few questions that were tough but could be figured out with some thought. Just thought I would put in my two cents for those that aren't looking to spend a ton of money especially after all the money we spent on our programs!!
  2. As I said a few posts up, they aren't doing a residency this year because we are getting epic. There are potentially doing a December one depending on how epic roll out goes.
  3. They won't hire any new grads if they don't do a residency
  4. I believe this year they aren't doing it because we are getting epic in October. I think they're pushing it until December instead of the normal start in September
  5. It's $30.06 base salary with $3 for evenings and $5 for nights. I got hired on a cardiac floor, but again nobody else knows their units. Let me know how it goes!
  6. I called them to find out salary because I have another job offer that I need to notify by the end of the week. So I wanted to know in order to make my decision. I asked them about that rumor and they said that we are guaranteed a job after the program, obviously unless you completely fail at it, which they have never had happen. I do know three other girls who got emails on Friday as well. I personally know which unit I am on because my interview went really well and they told me in person that they were offering me a job so I could put them as my top choice. BUT the people who received emails saying they were being offered a position do not know what shift or whether they are full-time. If I were you I would email Suzie. I, when I spoke to her on the phone she said email was the best way to get in contact with her. I was also told by the people running the Match Day that we would be hearing whether they decided to hire us or not, so even if you did not get hired (which I doubt) you should have heard something.
  7. I was July 29th. They didn't tell me what floor, it was just a generic email that said I was selected to join the team and more information would follow. I got that email on Friday. No I did not work at UMass or have any clinicals there. I was told by one of the managers that anyone who made it to match day was hired, it was just a matter of which floor they were going to be assigned to. So check your email and spam folders! The email came from Suzie
  8. I got an email saying I was selected but that's all I know!
  9. What is the pay like? I interviewed on Match Day and I'm really curious what they pay us!
  10. Should be anyday now! Any chance you know when in March we should hear?
  11. I'm going to be a new grad RN! I'm graduating from UMass Amherst with a 3.98. I'm from the Boston area but Columbia is my number one! Hopefully we find out within the next few weeks. I have found literally no one else who has applied to MSN program! Everyone seems to be ETP.
  12. I was thinking the same thing! The woman who interviewed me told me that we should be notified the week of the 19th, so I was expecting to have heard by now!
  13. I received an email today saying that I submitted all my required materials and that my application is moving on to the next phase!
