Okay so i am applying to the BSN program at UIC 2015. I am so worried because i have no idea what to expect. It is one of the top nursing schools in the country. I am literally freaking out because i am competing for one of the 90 spots. My Cum GPA is 3.89 and science GPA is 4.0 and I graduated out of high school a year early (at the age 16). i am currently 18 years old. I finished most of my pre-reqs at a community college because its cheaper, I also finished my essay questions but i am worried that its not good enough. I volunteer at my local hospital for over a few months and i know that nursing is what I want to do.
Can someone please tell me if I have a good chance of getting in? Getting into UIC is my dream goal. Is my GPA good? Is there anything that i can do to improve my chances of getting in?
I am applying sometime next week.
Babenguyen25, what do you mean you don't know how it was? Did you answer their questions? Were you pleased with your answers? Did you think that you could have done better or did you do your best? Overall, how did you feel about about the interview? Answers these questions and then you'll most likely have an idea what how you did.
Ale8620 How did you think about your interview? If you want to discuss more about it, email me. It's better that way.
I wasn't as nervous as I thought I was going to be and I think I did well. At some point, while I was waiting my turn to answer a question, I thought to myself "what was the question about?" but I got back on track before they got to me:up:. I hope that they we'll look over all students' essays and then make their decision...rather than to eliminate based on the interview...I'm probably over thinking now. Hoping for the best!
If some students did sign up for multiple spots that would be in our advantage...I guess:unsure: We'll see...Ahhh, at least one month to go...the earliest we could find out whether we're in or not is April 15th, the latest would be the end of April. I heard from other students at UIC that the nursing committee got rid of 600 applications before the interview...how would they know that? Maybe just rumors... Also, those from UIC went to a mock interview prior to the actual interview...I'm a transfer student, so I did not get to do that...

Quietriot I think UIC only has a fall admission for the bsn program. I could be wrong but last I checked they only had a fall start date
