  1. CONGRATS!!!!!!!! I can not stop smiling, i got accepted as well!!!! I can not wait to meet you all!!! im going to the Chicago campus!
  2. You guys should not worry, worrying will make things worse and will not help this situation at all. Please think positive and keep your hopes up :) i hope i am sending good vibes
  3. Did you get the attachment from UIC? It explains everything on there and I suggest you look that over a few times. Two people interviewing 4-5 applicants. You will be fine, no one is perfect :)
  4. The writing portion did not have a right or wrong answer. Just do your thing, and i think you will all do well :) and NO i am not admitted to the program, in fact everyone will find out by April 15th.
  5. Sorry for some reason Allnurses stopped emailing me about your replies so I had no idea that anyone was replying to my post. I had my interview on Tuesday, just be yourself :). I really do not know what else to say. It maybe frightening but they are only humans just like us. Honestly no one is perfect and they know that. so it is okay to be nervous. Be yourself!!!!!!! I WISH ALL OF YOU THE BEST OF LUCK! I had no idea what to expect, so that is when my true colors was shown. I mean thats the point of the interview, right? good luck everyone, i hope to see all of you in UIC next fall :)
  6. That scares me if she didn't get in. Do u have any idea what they will ask in the interview? How about the in prompt essay? this is my number 1 choice, and I would be devastated if I don't get in... does UIC send interview information to everyone who met those requirements?
  7. I will! Good luck to you. The other thing that scares me is that they only accept 96 people out of 600 applicants. Hopefully we are one of them. :) I'll keep you guys posted.
  8. Thank you. I actually had my chemistry teacher and the director of my local mosque (where I volunteer) write me one. They both told me that they wrote me really good ones. How about you? if you don't mind sharing. And I do not know why they extended the deadline. Hopefully it won't affect us getting in the program. I also asked the college when we will be receiving information about the interview. They said in the next few weeks.
  9. Thank you for the positive comment. I wish you luck as well. My GPA went up to 3.91 last semester. Do you know when the interviews will take place? I am so nervous. Did you start preparing for it? I think my essays and personal statement are really good. I spent over 2 months on them. the interviews are killing me.
  10. Okay so i am applying to the BSN program at UIC 2015. I am so worried because i have no idea what to expect. It is one of the top nursing schools in the country. I am literally freaking out because i am competing for one of the 90 spots. My Cum GPA is 3.89 and science GPA is 4.0 and I graduated out of high school a year early (at the age 16). i am currently 18 years old. I finished most of my pre-reqs at a community college because its cheaper, I also finished my essay questions but i am worried that its not good enough. I volunteer at my local hospital for over a few months and i know that nursing is what I want to do. Can someone please tell me if I have a good chance of getting in? Getting into UIC is my dream goal. Is my GPA good? Is there anything that i can do to improve my chances of getting in? I am applying sometime next week.
